Warming-up.Begin with greetings, and review several ways of replying such as “Im fine./ Im great./ Just so so./ I feel terrible./ Im sick. .”After this put a question to students, “How do we tell different feelings when we are sick?”II. Lead-in.Ask students to repeat the words and phrases (with Handout 1) after you:doctor, patient, pills, medicine, capsule, injection, pharmacy/ drug store, headache, stomachache, sore throat, have a cold, have a feverIII. Main Activities.Activity 1: “Please help me, doctor.”Deliver role-play cards (with Handout 2) to students and ask each of them to tell their symptoms first, the other students should take notes of the symptoms and give them suggestions of medical care as well. Please ask students to write down first and then tell what symptoms the lifestyles are leading to and their suggestions to keep healthy.IV. Homework.1. Please write down what symptoms you have had before and how often you have had them. And analyze what caused your symptoms and how to avoid them.2. Find out 5 more common symptoms and the suitable medical cares to them.
