8A Unit5 Birdwatchers Integrated Skills说课稿说课人:蒋集九年一贯制学校 初二英语教师 吴磊一、 教材分析 Analyzing teaching material1. 说课型 lesson type (Dialogue/ reading/ listening/ revision)In Integrated Skills, students are supposed to develop their English skills in integrated ways in which speaking, listening, writing and reading are contained. In this period, it concerns mainly with listening and speaking.二、 本课在教材中的地位 Status and FunctionIt focuses on the topic of the Zhalong wetland, which was taught and read in the previous reading article. This period is an advanced phase for students to improve their listening and speaking skills, whereas their writing and reading skills should also be involved.三、 说教学目标和要求 Teaching aims and Demands1. Knowledge objects: enable the students to understand the information from the listening material and then to make a report according to the listening.2. Ability objects: teach them how to invite people and how to give the information about times, activities and places.3. Emotional(Moral) objects: to help them develop love for wetlands in which endangered birds are protected.四、 说教学重点 Teaching important pointsTeaching Aims 1 & 2, as well as some important language points.New words: hectare公顷; worm虫子; including包括; prevent阻止; snowstorms and flood暴风雪和洪水; have/has an area of 有着的面积; prevent sb from doing等五、 说教具 Teaching aidsBlackboard; tape; PPT.六、 说教法 Teaching methodsCommunicative approach; Task-based learning: New Syllabus Design encourages teachers to use this teaching method. TBLT can stimulate Ss initiative in learning and develop their ability in language application. Make the Ss the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as the director and bring their ability into full play.七、 说学法 Study methods1. Teach Ss how to be successful language learners.2. Teach Ss how to develop the listening skills; how to communicate with others; how to learn new words; how to learn independently;3. Get the Ss to form good learning habits.八、 说教学过程Teaching proceduresSTEP 1 Speak-Up and Making a dialogue:With some pictures about Zhalong showing on the PPT(Teachers presentation and interaction with Ss.)T “ OK, good job. I think you all want to have a visit to somewhere, right? Luckily, your cousin asks you to go birdwatching with him this weekend, lets listen to their conversation first.”1 Play the Speak-Up, and maybe read together or read in roles.( boys-Daniel; girls-sandy)2 T “ Suppose you and your friend Amy are going to do sth soon, now lets use the following patterns to make a conversation”活动地点时间起止1Flower showTianTianWetland ParkOn Sun,21st, April8.30 a.m.4 p.m.2OperaBeiHai Theatre On Mon, 11th, March4.00 p.m.6.00 p.m.Patterns: would you like to ? why not ? what about ? /Yes, Im free. Im busy.STEP 2 Lead-in and Test:1 With a few pictures about some endangered birds showing on the power point2 Introduction and presentation about these birds3 -T “Do you think they are beautiful and lovely?” -Ss “Yes!”-T “But now, they are in danger, luckily, therere some nature reserves in our country, like Zhalong, right?” Ss “Yes!”-T “ We have learnt something about Zhalong nature reserve in the reading article, now lets do a little test to see how much you know about Zhalong nature reserve.”4 Finish the left blanks (30 seconds)STEP 3 Listening:T “ OK, now, maybe some of the questions are difficult to answer, but never mind, lets listen to the tape and check our answers.”1 Play the tape and let the student tick out the facts mentioned in the tape. (listen twice)2 Check the answers and then do a class survey to see how many students get all the answers right and how many of them got 4 right answers. Praise them. 3 T “ Now, lets play a game based on the tape record. Work in pairs. Suppose one is a bird from TianTian wetland park, and the other is a bird from Zhalong nature reserve. This winter, one is going to move to Zhalong, but he doesnt know Zhalong very well, can the other one give some information about Zhalong? Lets make a short dialogue, and then I will ask some students to act it out.”Useful patterns:A: Whats the area of Zhalong? BA: Where is Zhalong? BA: If I live in Zhalong, what can it provide for me ?-BA: Are there lots of cranes in Zhalong?-BA: Is Zhalong a good place to go birdwatching?- BA: Do we have a wetland day, when is it ? BEtc. Encourage Ss to come to the blackboardSTEP4 Filling blanks and Retell:T “ OK, your dialogues are very good. My friend Sandy is also writing a report, now lets listen to the tape again carefully and then help her compl
