Ask some questions about A day in the life of Wendy1. When does Wendy get up?2. What does Wendy do at breakfast?3. When does Wendy go to school?4. How does Wendy go to school?5. Does Wendy usually achieve A grades in all her subject?6. When does Wendy go to bed?设计意图:通过学生回答问题学生可以复习一般现在时的用法。同时通过对Wendy 一天的生活内容复习自然引出本课主题Step3 Pre-task1. T: Today I will introduce a new friend to you. Her name is Fantasia Fang. She is the under-15 badminton champion of our city. Do you want to get to know her? Ok, next I will show some pictures about a day in the life of her. Task: Please use some words or phrases to describe what she does in her daily life then write the words and phrases on the blackboard.设计意图:通过直观形象的图片,使学生们了解了本节课所要掌握的单词和词组,为下一步的学习奠定了基础。 2. T: I will show the pictures again then please tell me what she does in the picture.Task: Students use the words and phrases on the blackboard to answer teachers questions.设计意图:再次展示图片,通过学生运用黑板上的单词,短语和一般现在时态造句来描述图片的内容,使学生运用单词和短语的能力上升到运用句子的能力。(即由单词和短语句子)Step4 While-task Play a game: You are the superstar!Rules:l Look at the pictures of a day in the life of Fantasia Fang on page 28 and 29. l To make an interview.l One student is the interviewer.l The other student is the super star.l To use the present and the phrases on the blackboard设计意图:通过前面的学习学生已经掌握了如何运用一般现在时态描述一个人的日常生活,通过这个角色扮演的采访游戏可以帮助学生将所学内容运用到实际生活中,从而提高学生综合使用英语的能力。同时学生的分组活动,可以培养学生们的协作能力;展示他们的学习成果。(由单词和短语句子对话)Step5:Post-task1. Task:Write a short article about a day in the life of Fantasia Fang.2.
