Finally my efforts paid off and I ranked first in my major after two years of study, which enabled me to get the chance for the exchange program in Northeastern University .There I gained a profound understanding of my major and learned to view the metallurgical industry in a new perspective. In my college life, I also took a positive part in all kinds of extracurricular activities. I won the first prize in the “My University” speech contest. I also have an outstanding English ability, for I won the national third prize in the NECCS which is short for National English Competition for College Students. In 2009 and 2011, I was granted the National Scholarship for twice. I was always ready to help other students in their study and life. Although I have broad interests in many aspects and grasp the essential knowledge of my major, but I think at present, I can do many things in a superficial level, but not be competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability.
