However, they should try to find as much information as they can.Tell students they can complete the notes by listening to a radio programme about the robot exhibition.1. Listen to the tape for the first time to get its main idea. Explain the words: Japan, South Korea, language, memory.2. Listen to it again to find the necessary information they need.3. Ask students to give their own answers.4. Check the answers with the class.5. Play the record one more time without stopping so that students can check their own answers.Explain the context of Part A3. Remind students that they can refer to the information on P33 to fill in the blanks.Encourage students to complete this exercise on their own or in groups.Step 2 Speak upAsk students to work in pairs. They should read the conversation through once first, change roles and then read the conversation again.Encourage students to make up their own conversations about robots.Ask some pairs to present new ones to the class.Step 3 Learning “Study skills”Ask the students to read the words and sentences on P47, understanding the differences between British and American English in spelling, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciations. We can only know about these differences when we learn them in the texts or magazines. They cant influence the understanding of the meaning.Students do the exercise on P47on their own and then check the answers with the whole students.Step 4 Homework1. Recite the conversation on P46.2.
