还原短文(二)哲理故事+成长引导+文化习俗+健康生活+事物介绍AIn the 1950s, a female swimming athlete set a goal for herself.1. If she could make it, she would be the first person in the world who did it.On that day, she jumped into the sea without any hesitation(犹豫) and swam towards the opposite bank without any protection. In the journey, she faced heavy fog, heavy rain and heavy waves. Though she was very tired, she carried on swimming.2. And she didnt know that the opposite bank was only one mile away when she gave up.Later people asked her about the reason. And she said, “The reason why I gave up is that I could not see the place which I was going to reach completely.”3.Since we were young children, too many success stories have been telling us about courage and persistence(坚持). 4. You can only have courage when you know where your goal is. You can only manage to persist when you know where your goal is.And thats because when you know where your goal is, you can only prepare yourself well in the mind. 5.They come from weighing between input and output.A life without goals is like a ship without a compass. It goes nowhere. There is no courage or persistence in a life without goals.A.It was a great pity that one mile broke her dream.B.Courage and persistence never fall from the sky.C.But in the end, she gave up.D.She decided to swim across the English Channel before she retired.E.But they never told us where to find courage and persistence.B2019云南改编When you cough or sneeze, please turn your head away from others and cover your mouth with the full part of your hand. 1. This is a rule I set for my students. It is so simple, but many kids have never been told to do this. 2. I hate traveling by subway in New York during cold and flu season, because it is certain that someone is going to stand right behind me and cough or sneeze on my neck. One important thing I point out to the kids is that after they sneeze or cough on their hand, they should wash their hands as soon as possible. 3. In order to help the kids remember this rule, 4. It says that when you sneeze, evil spirits(幽灵)jump into your body. If you dont cover your mouth, the spirits will enter, but if you cover your mouth, you will keep them out. We say “God bless you” when someone sneezes, and in Germany you should say “Gesundheit”. 5.Both expressions are said just in case you didnt cover your mouth in time and the spirits were able to enter your body. The kids love finding out the origins(起源) of these expressions and it encourages them to put the advice to use more often.A.And then, you should say, “Excuse me.” B.Or they will be passing those germs along to everything and everyone they touch.C.I tell them about an old story. D.That means “Good health to you”. E.In fact, I notice adults cough and sneeze in public without putting a hand over the mouth.CEvery baby likes sitting in the prams(婴儿车) which are pushed by their mothers along the road or in the park. They sit in the prams eating, drinking, laughing or sleeping. 1. It is held in Hull, England once a year. You might see some people running along the road and pushing the prams as fast as they can. 2. They jump out of the prams and drink lots of milk on the table along the road. Then they get into the prams and go on racing. 3. For example, it helps to make it possible for disabled people to have wheelchairs for free. 4. Every Friday afternoon, fishermens wives had to run, pushing the prams with their babies in. They took money to pay their bills and buy food rapidly before their husbands returned from the sea. At the beginning, only a few people were interested in the race, but now quite a lot of people including children, teenagers and the old take part in it each year. 5. People can not only watch the exciting race, but also share their joy and friendship every year. If you want to watch the Pram Race, go to Hull.A.It all started when Hull was a fishing town.B.However, there arent any babies in the prams, but adults instead.C.But have you ever heard of the Pram Race before?D.The Pram Race is held to raise money for the people in need.E.It is watched by more than three thousand people every year.DA good memory is often seen as something that comes naturally, while a bad memory as something that can not be changed. In fact, there is a lot that you can do to improve your memory. Here are some tips for you.1.We all remember the things we are interested in, and always forget the ones that bore us.This explains the reason why schoolboys remember football results easily but struggle(挣扎) with dates from their history lessons! Develop an active interest in what you want to remember. One way to make yourself more interested is to ask questionsthe more, the better!Repeat things in chunks(块).Repeating things in chunks is the best way to remember things for a short time, for example, remembering a phone number for a few seconds. 2. The following numbers would be impossible for most of us to remember:1492178919318483.But look at them in “groups” or “chunks” repeatedly, and it becomes much easier:1492 1789 1931 8483.3.To remember long lists, try inventing a story which includes all the things you want to remember. In experiments, people were asked to remember up to 120 words using this way. When they were tested later, they could remember about 90% of them. 4.Take physical exercise.Physical exercise is important for your memory, because it increases your heart rate(心率)and sends more oxygen(氧气) to your brain, and that makes your memory work better. 5. As we know, too much pressure is very bad for the memory.A.Take an interest.B.Exercise also lowers pressure.C.The test result was really amazing!D.Grouping numbers may help you to remember them.E.Invent a story.EDodder(菟丝子) is an unusual and unwanted plant that attacks other plants.Except for its flowers, the plant looks like spaghetti noodles.Dodder does not produce its own food. 1. It feeds by sucking(吮吸) juices from the plant it is wrapped(缠绕) around, often making its host very weak or even killing it.2. When a dodder seedling starts growing, it follows the smell of plants it prefers, like tomato plants, potato plants, or other farm crops. As you know, most plants usually grow in the direction of light or warmth. 3. Only by doing this, it can get its own food. However, a young dodder plant must find a host plant quickly. If it can not notice the smell of a potential host within a few days, it will dry up and disappeareven if there is plenty of water around.Once it finds a host, the young dodder plant will attach itself to it and start growing faster. 4. It no longer needs its root once it is attached to the host and wrapped around it.Dodder is thus a difficult weed to manage and a real headache for farmers. When it does get out of hand, dodder can greatly reduce a farmers harvest or even destroy crops completely. Before sowing(播种) their produce, farmers in warm parts of the world often check to make sure no unwanted dodder seeds h
