How should you behave in a office? What kinds of topics are forbidden in a office?聚焦有关常用表达,引出本单元学习目标。B. 以Brain Storming的形式让学生讨论 “job- hunting”a) 小组讨论: What aspects should you pay attention to if you begin to work in an office? What should not you do in a workplace?b) 教师引导学生回答问题。二热身练习教师随机提问学生: 导出下一部分的练习。A. What should you say in the following situations?a) When you are talking about office etiquettes with your colleges Good manners can help people win over business. Thank you for telling me these office etiquette tips. Are there any subjects that are taboos to talk about in the office? In general, we dont talk about salary in public. You shouldnt discuss company affairs with outsiders. What kind of clothes should I wear in the workplace? Business wear, it can give people a sense of responsibility and authority. Smoking in the office is forbidden/not allowed.B. 补充What should you pay attention to in a workplace?a) Dos in a workplace Dress professionally. Make sure your clothes are neat, clean, wrinkle-free, and properly fitted. Smile and greet co-workers in passing. Observe company practices in relation to courtesy titles. Keep shared spaces and your own work area clean. Make sure that you are on time to work and to all meetings.b) Donts in a workplace Poor listening: Not paying attention to a speaker, talking while the presenter is speaking. Poor telephone behaviors: Not returning calls, eating while on the phone, loud talking. Inappropriate behavior: scratching, flossing teeth, putting on makeup, cleaning fingernails. Disregard of others time: keeping people waiting, not showing up for a scheduled appointment. Snooping: reading others faxes, emails, computer screens or mails.学生朗读强记有关“办公礼仪”的常用表达句型,老师要求学生利用这些常用表达以小组活动的形式,口头编写对话并操练。三、课堂活动Task 2 要求学生听录音、分角色朗读对话。在播放录音之前,提出以下问题,引导学生特别留意“握手”相关礼仪表达: The most important principle about hand-shaking is always to show your respect. Wait until the senior or the person whose social status is above you to hold out their hands first. Im not sure if it is appropriate to shake hands with women. Youd better wait the women to hold out their hands firstTask 3把对话中重点的知识点以这种形式导出,然后进行讲解。A. 听前预测。教师引导学生朗读生词,告知学生这是一个关于求职者与面试官之间的对话。要求学生在听播音前提前阅读段落,通过已知的内容预测对话大体内容和空格所填词的词性或词组搭配,以提高学生的英语预测能力。B. 播放录音,提醒学生注意有关“办公着装”礼仪相关表达: Wearing makes you look very professional. I like the idea of “power-dressing”, if you wear nicer looking clothes, people take you more seriously. When Im wearing a nice suit I feel a lot more confident. Business wear can give people a sense of responsibility and authority.补充“办公着装”词汇Pant suit 长裤西服装 Knee-length skirt or full-length dress 齐膝短裙或长裙Dress pants 正装长裤 Blouse 衬衫 Jacket 夹克 High-heels 高跟鞋 Dress shoes 时装鞋Suit and tie 西服和领带 Vest 坎肩Suspenders 吊带裤Cufflinks 带袖口链扣的男式衬衫系列C. 听中确定正确的答案。D. 听后核对答案。Task 4A. 教师引导学生朗读生词。B. 教师播放录音,引导学生选择正确的答案。C. 师生核对答案。D. 引导学生特别留意以下常用表达:You can wear casual clothes, company rules are not very strict about it. be strict about 对 严格的e.g. Shes verystrict aboutthings like homework.她对作业之类的事要求非常严格。e.g. Our manager is very strict with us. 我们的经理对我们要求很严格。 takeover to 送到e.g. Take these letters over to the post office. 把这些信送到对面邮局去。e.g. I take your lunch over to your office. 我把午餐带到你办公室了。Task 5 A. 教师引导学生朗读生词。B. 教师要求学生阅读所提供的问题,引导学生预测对话的梗概内容,推测空格处应填写词的词性。C. 教师播放录音,要求学生在听的过程中,结合问题进行简单记录。D. 提供以下几个问题,以检验学生是否可以回忆起所听的细节。问题如下: Why do most people wear uniforms when they are at work? (They can always be aware that they are members of their organization.) Can people speak with slang, jokes, or dialects at work? Role play.Task 7把本单元主题的重点知识点以这种形式导出,然后进行讲解。A. 听前预测。教师引导学生朗读表格中的英文表达,通过对话已知的内容预测对话情景和对话内容。 B. 听中确定正确的答案。C. 听后核对答案。D. Role play. Task 8本试题主要是培养学生的口译能力。A. 学生分组,小组讨论句子所需的重点搭配,句型。B. 小组活动,一人读出试题,一人口译;反过来转换任务。C. 教师进行必要的解释,师生互对答案。D. 要求学生会说会用以下重点表达: polite and formal language 礼貌和正式的语言 office etiquette tips 办公室礼仪规则 Business wear can give people a sense of responsibility and authority.职业装能带给人一种责任感和权威性。 Smoking in the office is forbidden.办公室里禁止吸烟。Task 9 本题旨在帮助学生进行语言输出。情景:办公室礼仪须知A. 引导学生读懂所给的情景,分组进行对话活动。B. 对小组所创设的对话,进行角色演绎。鼓励一至两个小组,在全班进行角色扮演。C. 教师给出可借鉴的重点表达。You may use the following clues to help you: 情景: Jack asks John about office etiquettes. (Would you please tell me something about the informal dos and donts in our department) John tells him the working time, telephone calls(You should arrive on time and not leave too early, without good reason) Jack asks about office taboos. (Are there any subjects that are taboos to talk about?) John tells him not to talk about salary and other things in the office.
