According to RHK, a US-based telecom consulting firm, in year 2004, Huawei was the No.3 market share winner in the global optical market, and No.2 in global LH DWDM market. Huawei has been the biggest optical equipment vendor in Asia/Pacific market for the recent successive 5 years.By the end of year 2004, over 300,000 sets of OptiX optical products have been deployed worldwide. Huaweis optical networking products found its large-scale commercial applications in more than 70 countries and regions including Germany, France, Russia, Austria, Brazil, Spain, South Korea and Singapore. Commendatory of OSN:OSN9500/7500/3500/2500/1500Huawei is one of the two companies that can provide a total solution of a full series of ASON products from core to access layer network in the industry. In backbone and core switch layer, OptiX OSN 9500 can provide large access capability and powerful service grooming capacity. OptiX OSN 7500/3500/2500/ are mainly deployed in convergence layer, and OptiX OSN 1500 is the edge layer equipment.OSN 9500 is a 400G/720G super-large capacity intelligent switching platform for provisioning and grooming bandwidth at the core together with DWDM. It provides bandwidth customization, SLA service, and mesh network restoration. Equipped with intelligent features, OSN9500 is able to realize automatic end-to-end service provisioning and restoration, bringing a great improvement to optical equipment management and maintenance. With the intelligent features offered by OSN9500, the operator is flexible to customize different customers with services of different QoS, SLA, making its network much more operable. Commendatory of long-Haul DWDM: OptiX BWS 1600GLH DWDM is one of the most successful products of Huawei Technologies. By the end of 2004, OptiX BWS DWDM had been deployed worldwide in more than 300,000km backbone networks, which, according to RHK, ranked No.2 in the global LH DWDM markets in 2004 and No.1 in the Asia Pacific LH DWDM market for several years. Huawei typical international projects in 2004 include France NEUF national backbone, Russia Rostelecom national backbone, Oman Telecom national backbone, India BSNL backbone, Pakistan PTCL backbone and so on. In China, we acquired more than 60% LH DWDM market share.OptiX BWS 1600G is a 160-channel ultra-long haul DWDM system for inter-city and national backbones. It provides large capacity of 1.6Tb/s over one pair of fiber, long distance up to 6000km without regenerators, and higher reliability and easier maintenance features.Owing to many distinguished features, OptiX BWS 1600G can help our customers deploy cost-effective and highly-reliable LH networks. 1. Realizes more than 30% cost saving in Long-Haul with high-reliability: OptiX BWS 1600G supports up to 6000km transport without any electrical regenerator or Raman amplifier. Huawei employs an industry-unique SuperWDM technology in the transmitters. It boosts transmission distance and performance not by conventional Raman amplifiers but by coding technology. With this technology, Huawei is able to keep away the expensive and dangerous Raman amplifiers and make the LH DWDM network more reliable. We also provide LCRZ encoding technology, LCRZ is one member of the SuperWDM technology family ,which provide a cost-optimized and performance optimized solution especially for Middle transmission distance below than 1500Km. This distance is demanded by the most of projects in oversea countries. Comparing with SuperCRZ encoding technology, LCRZ has a lower and fixed chirped frequency modulation that meet the nonlinearity and OSNR requirement for the transmission distance about 1500Km.2. As another application of the ULH technology, Huawei provides a good solution for a long single hop network. A long single hop is necessary for inter-city transmission, for transmission over everglades, desert, forest and sea or anywhere impossible to setup a machine room for REG/ optical amplifier. Huawei provides a solution for a single hop up to 350km by using ROPA (Remote optical pump amplifier). Typically, it may save 30%-50% of capex and opex. 3. Saves OPEX (Operation Expenditure) by abundant and convenient OAMS: plenty of functions for OAMS is another outstanding feature of Huawei DWDM system. These robust tools can make automatic adjustment to the external impact, such as fiber cut-off and loss changing. Especially, the built-in OTDR can help the operators to locate fiber broken point immediately. Other OAMS functions include built-in OSA, built-in VOA, Automatic Level Control (ALC), Quick Error Location and Remote Monitoring. These functions have greatly improved the efficiency and reduced the cost of system maintenance. OptiX Metro 6100 is a 40-channel DWDM system for Metro core, while OptiX Metro 6040 is a 4-channel compact DWDM/CWDM system for Metro edge and metro access, thus providing a cost effective total solution to Metro area network. 1. Huaweis OptiX Metro DWDM series provides multi-service and multi-protocol access to all available services, such as PDH/SDH/SONET, FE/GE, FC, ESCON, FICON, POS/ATM, Video etc. 2. To utilize each wavelength efficiently, Huawei Metro DWDM/CWDM series provides aggregation functions to multiplex multiple sub-rate services into one full-rate.
