There are five sports in the games: bridge, chess, go, draughts, and Xiangqi and 36 events altogether. There are 5 events in Xiangqi sport. Competition venue: Beijing International Convention Center. Events and datesRapid (Men) Oct.04-06Individual (Men) Oct.07-11Team (Men) Oct.13-17Individual (Women) Oct.06-09Team (Women) Oct.11-14. Qualification and procedure:1. Each country (region) can send only one team to participate in the games. The player must be the citizen of the country (region) for which he/she represents or holds the green card for more than one year.The World Xiangqi Federation (WXF) will check up on the qualification of all the participating teams and players.2. Xiangqi Organizations of the country (region) which havent joined the WXF and Asian Xiangqi Federation (AXF) must give their entries through the related department or National Olympic Committee of their own countries (regions).3. According to IMSAs requirements, each participating player shall pay the Organizing Committee his or her entry fee of 100 when he or she registers at the games.4. Each participating team may enter 1 team leader, 1 coach (the team participating in all the five events can enter 2 coaches, but the games organizing committee will only bear 1 persons expenses.) and for players, Team (Men): 3 players (1 substitute included), Individual (Men): 2 players, Rapid (Men): 2 players, Team (Women): 3 players (1 substitute included), Individual (Women): 2 players.5. Men and women players can enter more than one event respectively. Competition method1. The Asia Xiangqi Competition Rules will be adopted.2. The competition is arranged by the computer. Team (men) adopts score system of appointed-table for appointed-person. Team (men) and Individual (Men) will be arranged by accumulated points of 9 rounds. The competition method for Team (Women) and Individual (Women) will depend on the situation of entry.3. Rapid (men) : 3 rounds each day. Other 4 events: 2 rounds each day.4. Competition timing: the basic timing for team and individual competition is 60 minutes, while 30 seconds will be added by each step afterwards; the basic timing for rapid competition is 10 minutes, while 10 seconds will be added by each step afterwards. RankingThe first, second and third places of each events will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals respectively. Appeal and referee1. The Appeal Committee will be set up. The competition method will be decided later.2. The drawing lots will be presided over by the chief referee. The 2nd entry: All teams shall send the name lists of the players and the chromophotos of the delegation members to the mailbox of the Secretariat of WXF by e-mail no later than June 15.3. The 3rd entry: In order to arrange the matters concerning arrivals and departures, all teams shall confirm the name list of participation and give clear information of the flight number of arrival and departure no later than July 15.VIII. Registration and departurePlayers shall arrive at the competition venue one day before his/her participating events, and the registration place will be informed later. Players shall leave the day after his/her events. Players participating in Men Team event shall leave at October 19.IX. Expenses1. The Organizing Committee is now working hard to try to provide each participating team at least one free roundtrip ticket. 2. Each team shall bear its own international traveling expenses.3. The Organizing Committee will bear the expenses of accommodation and food of the people designated in the regulations during the games.4. As for the people arriving earlier or departing later than the designated time as well as the extra people, they shall pay all expenses for themselves. The Organizing Committee is now in the process to coordinate on the standard of the prices. Once decided, we will inform you later.X. Dress 1. People are requested to wear formal dress to attend the opening and closing ceremonies as well as the competition.2. The climate in Beijing during the competition is a little bit cool, and shirts, suits and thin sweaters might be appropriate.XI. Any other business will be informed later.XII. The interpretation right of this Regulation belongs to the Secretariat of the World Xiangqi Federation. 11 April 2008补充细则一、赛制安排1.男、女团体赛、男子个人赛采用一局制赛9轮；女子个人赛采用一局制赛7轮；快棋赛采用分先两局制赛9轮。2.女子团体赛采用循环制比赛，其余各项比赛均采用积分编排制比赛。二、竞赛办法1.执行亚洲象棋联合会最新审定的象棋比赛规例。2.团体比赛采用场分制,抽签时各队确定第一轮第1、2台棋手名单，以后各轮由领队于赛前1小时将参赛棋手名单及台次交裁判长，逾时按照上轮棋手名单比赛。3.以秩序册代表队名单顺序依次抽签确定棋手（队）的代号。4.女子团体比赛按循环赛对局秩序表确定各轮配对及先后走；其余各项比赛采用中国象棋协会提供的象棋竞赛定位编排综合系统进行编排，第一轮采用近号配对，即1-2、4-3以此类推，单号台次小号执先，双号台次大号执先；首轮编排实行同代表队棋手回避配对，其余各轮均不回避配对。5.比赛采用电子计时钟，按规程执行加秒制，不限着数，超时判负。三、关于快棋1.快棋赛棋手可不做记录，但比赛结束后须将完整记录补正交裁判组。2.快棋赛不执行自然限着规定。3.快棋赛每轮第一局先后走由计算机编排确定，第二局调换先后走。4.快棋赛计场分，即每场胜两局或一胜一和得2分，打平各得1分，两负或一和一负得0分。四、区分名次1.男、女个人赛如积分相等，则按以下顺序区分：对手分、直接对赛胜负、胜局、后手胜局、后手赛局、技术犯规。如无法区分，则比较前一轮成绩，以此类推，直至区分。2.男子团体赛如场分相等，则按以下顺序区分：对手总场分、全队总局分、直接对赛胜负、全队胜场、全队胜局、按台次顺序比较台次得分、全队技术犯规。如无法区分，则比较前一轮成绩，以此类推，直至区分。3.女子团体赛如场分相等，则按以下顺序区分：总局分、小分、全队胜场、全队胜局、直接对赛胜负、按台次顺序比较台次得分、全队技术犯规；如无法区分，加赛快棋决定名次。双方各派一名棋手加赛，每方基本用时5分钟，每走一步加3秒。抽签决定选择权，获得选择权一方选择先后走。如弈和，交换先后走加赛，直至决出胜负，胜者名次列前。4.快棋赛如场分相等，区分名次办法如下：总局分、直接对赛胜负、胜局、后手胜局、技术犯规。如无法区分，则比较前一轮成绩，以此类推，直至区分。象 棋 竞 赛 委 员 会Supplementary Rules1. Competition System(1) Mens team, womens team and mens individual events adopt the system of one set with nine rounds; womens individual adopts the system of one set with seven rounds; the rapid games adopt the system of two sets with nine rounds. (2) Womens team event adopts the round-robin system. All other events adopt the Swiss System. 2. Competition Methods(1) The Regulations of Xiangqi Competition approved lately by the Asian Xiangqi Federation will be applied during the games.(2) Team events adopt the match point system. The namelist of the 1st and 2nd players of each team in the 1st round are determined by lot. In the latter rounds the namelist of the players and their table numbers shall be given to the chief referee by the teamleader one hour before the match starts. In case of an overdue situation, the namelist of players remains the same as the last round.(3) The players (teams) numbers will be determined by lot according to the order of teams listed in the program. (4) For womens team event, the pairing of players of each round, the initiative mover and the passive mover are determined according to The Order of Round Robin Games. For other events, the Comprehensive System of Xiangqi Competition Position Arrangement provided by the Chinese Xiangqi Association will be applied. Players will match in consecutive numbers, e.g. No. 1 versus No. 2, No. 4 versus No. 3, etc. Players with a smaller number will take the first move at an odd number table, while those with a larger number will take the first move at an even number table. In the first round of grouping, players will avoid matching with players from the same team. Players in all other rounds will not avoid matching with players from the same team.(5) Electronic timer will be used. Seconds will be added according to the regulations and the number of moves is unlimited. If the player exceeds the time limit, he is judged to lose the game.3. Rapid Games(1) A rapid game player doesnt have to record his or the rivals moves. But after the game, he/she must confirm the accuracy of all the moves and report the result to the group of referees.(2) The rule of natural move limit is not used for rapid games. (3) At rapid games, the initiative or passive mover in the first set of each round is determined by computer programs. In the second set the initiative and the passive are reversed. (4) At rapid games the match point system is used. In a match if a player wins two sets or wins one and draws one, he gains two points. If it is a tie, both the players gain one point. If a player loses two sets or loses one and draws one, he gains love point. 4. Ranking(1) For mens and womens individual, in the event of equal accumulative points, the rank will be determined according to the following items: rivals point, the result of direct match, victory games, victory games as a second mover, total games as a second mover and technical fouls.
