This specification does not give detailed instructions; these are given in the Process Instructions (PI) / Airbus Process Instruction (AIPI) and the Work Instructions. This specification shall not be used as an inspection document. The protection of composite parts on which external surfaces the external paint scheme is applied may consist in application of a previous primer or primer plus pore filler. 3.1.4 Developer A company that is responsible for the development of a process related to this AIPS. 3.1.5 User The user is responsible for the application of a specific process qualified to this AIPS on external surfaces of Airbus aircraft. When processing to AIPS 05-02-003 is required, it shall be invoked on the drawing by the words “Application of external paint systems to AIPS 05-02-003”. The process described in this document is applicable for all aircraft programs and all types of application of any external paint system as defined hereafter: - External paint schemes (chromate loaded): wash primer paint system (AIMS 04-04-012), primer and top coat (AIMS 04-04-013), intermediate coat paint system (AIMS 04-04-014), wing coating system (AIMS 04-04-026), - Chromate free external paint scheme: primer + top coat applied on basic primer (AIMS 04-04-031), primer + intermediate coat + top coat applied on basic primer (AIPS 04-04-032), chromate free primer + wing coating (AIMS 04-04-034), primer + basecoat + clearcoat on basic primer (AIMS 04-04-033), primer + intermediate coat + basecoat + clearcoat on basic primer (AIMS 04-04-037), primer + Matt top coat applied on basic primer (AIMS 04-04-036) - Elastomeric paint (AIMS 04-04-017), - External varnish (AIMS 04-04-023), - External decorative paint (AIMS 04-04-025), -Abrasion resistant paint (AIMS 04-04-007), - Wear resistant coatings (AIMS 04-04-027). All Engineering requirements have to be met and controlled in production. 4.1Performance Requirements 4.1.1 Adhesion on test panels Before the beginning of testing, a drying time of 168h at 23C, (55 5)% RH shall be observed. A cross cut test shall be performed after the drying time in accordance with ISO 2409. The specimens shall be divided into two sets with an equal number of specimens in each set. One test (set?) shall be tested in its initial condition at (232)C and the remaining set shall be tested after immersion in demineralized water for 14 days at (232)C in accordance with ISO 2812 part 1. The requirements are grade 0 for the initial condition and grade 1 after water immersion. 4 工程要求工程要求是责任工程(技术员)为确保生产工艺的最佳性能而规定的最低要求。所有工程要求必须得到满足并在生产中受控。4.1 性能要求4.1.1 测试板上的附着力在测试开始前,应该在23C、(555)%相对湿度下观察168小时的干燥时间。应该在干燥时间后按照ISO 2409进行划格(横断)测试。试样应分成两组,每组包含相同数量的试样。一组试样应在其初始条件(232) C下测试,剩下的一组试样应按照ISO 2812 第1部分的描述,在(232) C下浸入软化水14天后进行测试。要求是初始条件为等级0,浸水后为等级1。4.1.2 Thickness on test panels After drying for 24 hours, the thickness of each coat shall be measured per ISO 2808 on test pieces. The thickness of each paint layer shall be within the specified requirements for that layer over the entire panel area. Measurements shall be carried out to validate that this requirement has been met. Thickness shall be checked on test samples using destructive (composite samples) or not destructive methods (metallic samples) for composite parts if a suitable non-destructive method to measure directly on the part does not exit(exist?) or is not available. For example : Primer: 15 to 25 m Intermediate coat: 8 to 12 m Top coat: 50 to 130 m according to the colour. For top coat and decorative paint, the thickness will be applied to reach the hiding power according to the different colours. In any case, the total thickness of the complete paint scheme (including notably detailed primer(s), decorative paints and clearcoat) shall not exceed 330 m on the whole aircraft (including radome). If this requirement is not assessed, a derogation shall be raised. Radioelectrical performances of the radomes depend on the nature, the composition and the thickness of the paints. Whatever the paint type, the transparency attenuation due to external paint scheme applied in the final paintshops (i.e.: not including detailed primers, pore-filler, anti-erosion paint and antistatic paint) shall be inferior to: - 4% for Single Aisle (Evolution 2) radome, - 4% for Long Range/WideBody (Evolution 2) radome, - 3,4% for A380 Basic radome. The specific transparency attenuations for all types of external paints are given in Annex B. For each airline livery/paint scheme, specific attenuation of each layer shall be calculated and summed up to check that the above requirement is met. The external painting quality criteria are specified in AM2435, including specular gloss and orange peel criteria. 4.2.2Colour difference The colour shade of the painted surface shall be in accordance with the Airbus master colours (M9001, M9002, M9004, M8001, M8002, M8003) or for the other colours as agreed with the customer by visual comparison. The requirements for the Master colour are as following : M8001 E 0.70 M8002 E 0.35 M8003 E 0.30 M9001 E 0.50 M9002 E 0.40 M9004 E 0.704.2 其它要求4.2.1 干膜外观干燥后,油漆系统应按照附录C中的规定统一外观和避免表面缺陷。外部油漆质量标准在AM2435中有规定,包括光泽度和橙皮皱(橘皮状表面缺损)标准。4.2.2 颜色差异油漆面的色度应当依照空客主要颜色(M9001,M9002,M9004,M8001,M8002,M8003)或其它颜色按照与客户约定通过视觉比较。主要颜色的要求如下:M8001E0.70M8002E0.35M8003E0.30M9001E0.50M9002E0.40M9004E0.704.3Key Characteristic Key Characteristics according to EN9103 are defined by responsible engineering based on a risk analysis for parts manufactured by this process. Key characteristics shall be defined on product level and if necessary also on process level. They shall be subject to variation control by production organization according to EN9103.
