Yes, I am.(3)运用what对if引导的句子所产生的结果进行提问,如:What will happenif they have a party tonight?(4)正确运用情态动词should, 如: You should wear your cool pants.3.情感态度目标(1)本单元Section A主要围绕”Party”展开话题,贴近学生实际生活,可以提高他们的学习兴趣,用英语来表达自己的意愿;(2)参与“charity event”的金点子活动海报设计,培养学生的爱心;(3)参与对人生重大事件的讨论,帮助学生树立正确的人生观;(4)参与对职业选择的讨论,帮助学生形成正确的择业观。4.文化意识目标(1)了解国外学生在开party时应该遵守的规则,同时和国内的规则进行比较,了解中西方文化之间的差异;(2)了解西方人对各种职业的观点和对人生意义多角度的思考。5.学习策略目标(1)认知策略:通过Pairwork和Groupwork,鼓励学生对if引出的结果进行推测;引导学生采取有效的学习方法来完成任务,如阅读中的细读策略;(2)调控策略:鼓励学生运用所学的知识来探求新的知识,“温故而知新”,从而提高学习效率;(3)资源策略:学会上网收集有关各类职业的信息,并对收集的信息进行整理和筛选。重点难点1.教学重点(1)重点词汇:flower, against, chance, tonight;(2)重点句型:I think Im going to stay at home. If you do, youll be sorry.(3)话题:关于参加party和今后择业的讨论。2.教学难点(1)正确使用if引导的条件状语从句;(2)掌握用will句型来表示将会发生的结果。课时安排4课时第一课时:SectionA:la,1b,lc,2a,2b,2c 第二课时:SectionA:3a,3b,4第三课时:SectionB:1,2a,2b, 2c第四课时:SectionB:3a,3b,3c,4 and Self Check第一课时教学目标1. 词汇consequence; jeans; let in; organize; bike; youll=you will2. 目标语言(Target language)-I think Im going to go to the party with Karen and Ann.-If you do, youll have a great time.If we have it today, half the class wont come.I think Ill ride my bike.If you do, youll be late.教学过程整体感知Section A的语言目标是谈论事情的结果或影响,1a、1b、1c都来源于1a的卡通画,只是任务不同。师生可在初步感知if引导的条件状语从句的基础上来分别完成这些部分的任务。2a、2b听力材料相同,是语言的输入部分,2c的结对练习主要是通过练习掌握if引导的条件状语从句的基本形式和内容,以及培养学生对事情后果或影响的判断、推理能力。一、情景导入教师拿出一张一个小孩匆忙去上学的图片,问学生:Look! Its 7:50 now. Whats the boy doing? What will happen next?诱导学生回答:He is walking to school. He will be late for school.二、课前热身教师指导学生看一系列情景图片,并问学生:What will happen next? 诱导学生回答,然后教师指着这些图片说:If he walks to school, 引导学生说He will be late. 然后带领学生完整地说出该句子:“If he walks to school, he will be late.”并把该句子写在黑板上,点出if 引导的条件状语从句谈论事情的后果或影响。三、教学SectionA-1a1 师生共同看1a的卡通画,相互问答:师:Look at picture 1! Look at this girl. Where is she going?生:She is going to the party with Karen and Ann.(教师诱导)师:What will happen next?生:They will have a great time.(教师诱导)师:Yes. If you stay at home, you will be sorry.说明:学生通过对话,掌握、运用if引导的条件状语从句来谈论后果或影响。五、教学SectionA-2a,2b利用学习指导中中学英语人教课标版8年级课后提高中的多媒体课件中的SectionA-2a,2b进行下列教学活动。和 1. 明白听力任务,再让学生听对话,按要求完成1a,由学生做答案,教师检查学生答案。2. 再播放一遍录音,学生完成2b,教师给出答案。2b答案如下:(1)half the class wont come.(2)students will leave early to study for their tests.(3)some students will be bored.(4)Mark will organize the party games.(5)Andrea will make some food.3. 教师展示2b部分的听力材料,并同时播放录音,学生跟读。 说明:训练学生的听选信息的能力,再让学生跟读,培养语流和语调。六、教学SectionA-2c1. 学生在完成听力的基础上,以2b的内容对话,进行角色扮演。学生A: OK, when is a good time to have the party?学生B: Lets have it today.学生A: If we have it today, half the class wont come.说明:学生学会在实际生活中如何运用if引导的条件状语从句。2. 学生做游戏,一个同学说出前面的情境,另外的同学说出后果或影响。生A: If I finish my homework, 生B: You will have a short rest.生C: If you finish your homework, youll have a short rest.说明:通过游戏活动,训练if 引导的条件状语从句,学生学得轻松快乐,且效果明显。七、教学拓展设计一个活动,让学生对课前收集的一些比较奇特的想法表达自己的观点。假设周末有一个晚会,让学生罗列参加晚会应该遵守的规则,引出新的单词、短语和句型“What will happen if I”,并将这些规则和课本中的规则进行比较。八、作业背诵单词和短语。第二课时教学目标1.词汇remind; take away; charity; event; folk; visit; flower; agent; make money; travel; hard; player2. 目标语言(Target language)-What will you do if you go to the old folks home visit?-If I go to that one, Ill bring them some flowers.I think you should go to college.But if I go to college, Ill never become a great soccer player.教学过程整体感知3a、3b是不同任务的语言知识的综合运用示范和练习,学生可在交流中完成。第4部分的结对练习要求学生先补上更多的事情,然后再进行对话操练。师生互动一、复习教师提问学生if相关的句子,检查学生的掌握情况。二、教学Grammar Focusif引导的条件状语从句是本单元学习的重点。我们知道如果主句中的谓语动词是一般将来时,if引导的条件状语从句通常用一般现在时。例:If it rain tomorrow, I wont go.翻译下面句子。1如果明天不下雨的话,我就和同学们去动物园。2如果周六你去购物的话,我就去。3如果可能的话,我就去火车站接你。4如果你想减肥,就锻炼身体吧。Keys:1. Take some exercise if you want to be thinner/ lose weight.三、教学SectionA-3a1学生阅读来自学校晚会负责人的通知。2学生阅读左侧的对话,思考空缺处应填写的内容。3学生再次阅读通知,在阅读的过程中,完成填空。4.教师核对答案。3a的答案如下:1. the school party 2. Im going 3. The teachers wont let you in.四、教学SectionA-3b1叫一组学生将给出的模式对话读出。2学生两人结组编对话,谈论3a 的规则。3 叫几组学生将对话表演出来。4. 师生共同就End of Year Party展开讨论,完成3a、3b的任务,并进行相互对话。师:Dont bring friends from other school. If you do, the teachers will ask them to leave.生A: Im going to the school party.生B: So am I. I want to bring my cousin Dave. He is in another school.生A: Oh, you cant do that.生B: Really? Why not?生A: If you bring your cousin Dave, the teachers will ask him to leave.五、教学4学生看P36第4部分,补上更多的事情,相互讨论所列举出的事所带来的后果或影响,做好角色扮演,向全体同学汇报。六、延伸拓展1. 链接生活链接一:观察下列句子中的if有何不同。If it doesnt rain tomorrow, I will go to Dongying.He asked me if he could pass the English exam.第1句中的if引导的是条件状语从句,是“如果”的意思,而第2句中的if引导的是宾语从句,是“是否”的意思。链接二:你知道下列句子的意思吗?If winter comes, can spring be far behind? (一旦你起跑,你可能输;但你若不跑,就一定会输。)2. 实践探索(1)实践活动课后,分小组活动,创设某种情景,以次猜测并推断该情景给别人带来的影响或后果,以推断正确方获胜。如:If it rains tomorrow,推断后果:If it rains tomorrow, you will stay at home. 核对你的伙伴写在纸上的结果,如正确,就得分,反之扣分,以小组得分多者为获胜队。第三课时教学目标1. 在本课中,进一步巩固运用if引导的条件状语从句来谈论事情的后果或影响。2. 掌握情态动词should+动词原形的用法。教学过程整体感知Section B是Section A内容的巩固、练习和扩充。教学过程中,可先完成第一部分讨论。2a、2b部分的听力学生应独立完成,2b请学生谈出这些完整的句子。2c的结对对话,在训练if引导的条件状语从句的同时,呈现了情态动词should的用法。一、情景导入教师可以和学生一起谈论下列问题,鼓励学生积极思考。问题如下:What do you want to be in the future? Who is your favorite sport star?链接二:将来你想从事什么职业?如果你从事该职业,你能列举出它的优点和缺点吗?2. 实践探索实践活动课后,和家人或朋友讨论自己将来的方向和目标,以书面的形式表达自己的决定,以及自己的决定所带来的影响和后果,向全班同学汇报和讨论。七、作业书面表达补全横线上的单词,然后依此为题,写一篇60次左右的短文。If I am_, I will第四课时教学目标1. 词汇:to play or not to play; realize; choose; hurt; champion; make a living; billions of ; all the time; look up to ; be able to ; lawyer等扩充的词汇,提高语言的综合运用能力。2. 了解作为职业运动员的利与弊,设定自己的人生目标和方向。教学过程整体感知3a是范文示范,可通过看有关运动员生活片段的课件,引导学生讨论成为一个足球运动员的结果或影响(好与不好的地方),然后在阅读该文章,完成该部分的任务。3b和3c是写作训练,可在讨论的基础上完成。Self check学生应独立完成。一、导入师生共同观看有关运动员的录像课件,和学生一起讨论,成为一名职业运动员后所带来的后果或影响(好处/坏处)。师:From the movie, do you think it is good to become a professional athlete?生:Yes. If you become a professional athlete, you will become famous / you will make lots of money /生:No, I dont think so. If you become a professional athlete, you will spend time away from your families / you will be hurt badly 说明:通过师生讨论,然后再阅读3a的文章完成3a的任务。这有助于学生对文章的整体理解,增强学生的理解、分析能力。二、教学SectionB-3a1. 教师说:We know Yao Ming is a famous player. He is a professional player. And he is a famous professional basketball athlete.2. 教师介绍一些姚明的个人信息: “Playing in NBA is his dream job. In fact, he works hard all the time. People all over the world know him. He is able to make a living playing basketball.
