七年级英语上册第58课一、教学课题Unit8.My Countries and English-Speaking CountriesLesson58:Lets look at a map.二、教学设计思路利用图片、实物、简笔画等帮助学生看懂地图，帮助学生能够用英语在地图上说出某些地方的位置，通过听说练习熟练掌握方向的表达及重要语言点的运用。三、教学目标一）、知识目标1、学习方位的表达方式。2、让学生了解地图知识，如上北下南左西右东，能够用英语简单表达某个国家在地图上的位置。3、复习学过的东南西北，并学会新的词汇及重要短语的应用。二）能力目标用方向来熟练表达不同国家在地图上的位置。三）情感目标通过本课的学习培养学生对地理的爱好，热爱世界各地的感情。四、教学重点及其突破方法积极调动学生学习的兴趣，创设性地使用教材，适当填充教学背景知识，拓宽学生的知识面，并充分利用图片、实物、简笔画等进行语言操练和实践。五、难点及其突破方法学生读地图困难，通过图片、黑板上的简笔画及实物地球仪帮助学生读懂地图，达到用英语熟练表达某地位置的效果。六、教学过程：Step1:Organization Greetings和学生轻松问好，可以很自然地融入到教学活动中去。Step2:Revision1. Sing a song to review the words “east,south,west,north”2. Review some language of last lesson by asking and answering .1).Use some pictures and photos to ask and answer between the teacher and the students .2)Review the words “east,south,west,north”and sentence and direction :a.North points up on a map.b.South points downc.East points right .d.West points left.在这一环节中，我运用歌曲和图片，引导学生复习上节所学的知识，歌曲可以提高学生的兴趣，又可以让学生在快乐的氛围中融入到课堂教学中，我和学生根据图片来问答，这样很直观也很有效果，学生学习的积极性也高。学生热情高，也顺利地完成了这个环节的教学目标，但在这一环节中还有需要改进的地方，我觉得我把自己在这一环节的角色让给学生，让学生根据图片互问互答，这样效果会更好。Step3:Lead in 1. Show the map of China and say“This is south ,This is east .Where is this？”(point to the place between south and east) lead the students to say “southeast,southwest,northeast,northwest”Then let the students find“Guangzhou,Harbin,Kunming,Lanzhou”on the map and read the following sentences together so that the students can know more about ways to express direction:1) Guangzhou is in the southeast of China.2) Harbin is in the northeast of China.3) Kunming is in the southwest of China.4) Lanzhou is in the northwest of China.2. Talk about the map of China and answer the questions:1) Whats this in English?2) What colour is China?3) Where is Beijing?4) Where do we live?5) What do we speak?3. Check the answers.在这一环节中，我出示挂图中国地图，让学生从上北下南左西右东自学东南、东北、西南、西北，并找出主要城市在地图上的方位，最后设置了5个问题让学生回答，达到了预期的目标，但学生在学习这4个方位时出现了Eastnorth等错误，这一部分中还可以增加一些练习，哪个城市在哪个城市的什么方位，让学生自行说句子来练习所学的八个方位。Step4.Learn the new lesson1. Introduce the map of the world to the students and let the students know where the different countries are. The students can learn of the knowledge by answering the following questions:1) Whats this in English?2) Where is China?3) Where is the United States?4) What colour is it?5) Do you know Canada? Where is it?6) What colour s Canada?7) Do you know Where the U.K.is?8) What colour is the United States?9) What country is yellow? Where is it?2. Let the students discuss in groups and fill in the blanks.Eg: Where is the United States?Its of China.Make them understand where the different countries are .Then read together.在这一部分，我让学生在观察地图的基础上回答问题，并介绍不同国家的情况，了解不同国家的文化差异。从学生的反映情况看，学生基本掌握。从这一环节的反思中我觉得可以让基础较好的学生直接看着地图介绍所学习的这几个国家的情况。学习基础差的学生只要能正确回答出所设定的问题就可以了。Step5.Learn the text1. Listen to the tape of the text.2. Read after the tape together in order to correct their sense of language.3. Let students answer some questions of the text.1) What colour is China?2) Where is the United States?3) What colour is Canada ?4) What country is yellow ?4. Read the text in pairs.在这一环节中，我采取学生听录音跟读课文，让学生跟着磁带学到地道的英语口语，练习好学生的正确发音，在听录音前我设置了4个问题，让学生带着问题去阅读课文，去思考，这样学生才能集中注意力读文。Step6.Show students some pictures and learn the new words.1.world 2.class 3.ChinaLet the students make some sentences with the new words.Step7.Learn some language points1) Present the following phrases and read together. in the world ,a map of, in class, have classes,come=be from ,in China,(to the)west of , (in the)east of,(on the)north of2) Let the students translate Chinese sentences into English so that they can grasp the usage of these phrases.Eg :in the world.世界上有许多国家(There are many countries in the world.)这一部分是这一节课的重点短语，这里主要是让学生学会如何正确运用它去写出、说出优美的句子。在这一环节我主要是让学生运用这些短语去造句，让学生自己运用，我对学生所说错的句子加以修改并总结短语的用法。我觉得自己做得不足的就是给学生练习的空间不够，可以鼓励学生在小组内先说，再汇报。Step8:Do some exercise1. Let the students do some exercise .Such as :1) Translation2) Fill in the blanks.3) Write the words in their correct forms.2. Check the answers one by one to consolidate the content of this lesson.3. Then listen to the song “You and Me”,in order to inspire their sense of love of geography and different countries around the world.练习是为了巩固这节课所学习的知识点，在这里我设置了不同形式的练习题，在学生回答问题的同时我也检查了本节课学生对所学知识的掌握情况。对于学生掌握不扎实的知识点进行了巩固强调，练习。其中在这一环节不足的就是习题的设置，我觉得自己的练习题不够精，以后要多看题，多钻研，对于练习部分的习题要做到精选、精练，让学生很快掌握本节课所学的知识，掌握不同类型的习题做法。Step9.HomeworkLook at one map .Lets talk about the world after class. 本节课我采用了歌曲、挂图、录音等辅助手段，顺利地完成了本节课的教学目标，学生掌握基本良好，对于基础中上的学生看着地图都可以很流利的将课文中几个国家详细地介绍给大家，对于中间的学生也基本能完成这个任务，基础差的学生能根
