RacialDiscrimination,ReviewthehistorySlaveTrade,TheAtlanticslavetradetookplaceacrosstheAtlanticoceanfromthe16ththroughtothe19thcenturies.ThevastmajorityofslavestransportedtotheNewWorldwereAfricans,soldbyAfricanstoEuropeanslavetraderswhothentransportedthemtothecolonies,inNorthandSouthAmerica.,1、InNorthAmerica,theyworkedasslaves2、InSorthAmerica,theyworkedforplantationSometimestheywereinjusticetreatedorevenmaltreated.PS:Blackslavesweretheslaveownersprivateproperty,theylikeanimalsandwerepurchasedtodosomehardwork,therewasnofreedomforthem.,TheCivilwar(1861.4.12-1865.4.9),TheSouth,whichwasknownastheConfederateStatesofAmerica,secededfromtheNorth,whichwasalsoknownastheUnion,formanydifferentreasons.Thereasontheywantedtosucceedwasbecausetherewasfourdecadesofgreatsectionalconflicbetweenthetwo.BetweentheNorthandSouththereweredeepeconomic,socieal,andpolitialdifferences.TheSouthwantedtobecomeanindependentnation.ThereweremanyreasonswhytheSouthwantedtosucceedbutthemainreasonhadtodowiththeNorthsviewonslavery.AllofthiswasbasicallyadifferentinterpretationoftheUnitedStatesConstitutiononbothsides.Intheend,allofthethesedisagreementsonbothsidesledtotheCivilwar,inwhichtheNorthwon.,Theconflictbetweennorthandsouth:AlthoughLincoln,whomfromthenorthernrepublican,wasnottheadvocateofliberatingtheslaves,hethoughtslaverywasinhumanity,andheopposedexpandingslavery.ButintheSouth,whichalwayswithslavestodevelopitsindustry,feltstronglyopposed.In1860,AbrahamLincolnwaselectedPresident,andhementionedintheplatformwhichisprotectingtariffandTheHomesteadActgreatlyharmedtheinterestsofsouthernslaveowner.Twomonthslater,thesoutherngovernmentstartedtorebal,thenortherngovernmenthadtoacceptthebattel,thecivilwarbegantoerupted.,Afterthecivilwar,PresidentLincolnissuedtheTheEmancipationProclamation.Shortlyafterthecivilwar,Lincolnwasassassinated.,AboutTheEmancipationProclamation,TheEmancipationProclamationispublishedbyAmericanPresidentAbrahamLincoln.ItadvocatesthatalltheConfederatedslaveswhoundertheoppressionshouldbeentitledtoenjoythefreedom.Butinfact,thedeclarationonlyfreesfewslaves,itessentiallystrengthenstheauthorityoffreeingtheslavesandeventuallypavesthewayforabolishingslavesystem.,Iherebyenjoinuponthepeoplesodeclaredtobefreetoabstainfromallviolence,unlessinnecessaryself-defence;andIrecommendtothemthat,inallcaseswhenallowed,theylaborfaithfullyforreasonablewages.我现在命令这些被宣布自由的人们,除非是必须的自卫,不得有违法行为;我劝告他们,在任何可能的情况下,他们应当忠实地为合理的工资而劳动。AndIfurtherdeclareandmakeknown,thatsuchpersonsofsuitablecondition,willbereceivedintothearmedserviceoftheUnitedStatestogarrisonforts,positions,stations,andotherplaces,andtomanvesselsofallsortsinsaidservice.我进一步宣告在适当条件下,这些人们可参加合众国的军事工作,驻守炮台、阵地、卫戍区域以及其他地区,以及在各种军舰上服役。Anduponthisact,sincerelybelievedtobeanactofjustice,warrantedbytheConstitutionuponmilitarynecessity,Iinvoketheconsideratejudgmentofmankind,andthegraciousfavorofAlmightyGod.我真诚地相信这个举动是一个正义的举动,合于宪法的规定,根据军事的需要。我祈求人类的慎重判断和万能上帝的恩典。,Ihaveadream,AgreatleaderDr.MartinLutherKing,anAmercianPoliticalactivistandthemostfamousleaderoftheAmericancivilrightsmovement,wasconsideredapeacemakerthroughtouttheworldforhispromotionofnonviolenceandequaltreatmentfordifferentraces.HereceivedtheNobelPeacePrizein1968.Hismostinfluentialandwell-knownspeechistheIhaveadream.,Wemustacceptfinitedisappointment,butneverloseinfinitehope.你必须接受今天的失望,但是它是有限的。你同时要拥抱无数个希望,因为是无穷的。Darknesscannotdriveoutdarkness;onlylightcandothat.Hatecannotdriveouthate;onlylovecandothat.黑暗不能驱除黑暗,只有光明可以做到;仇恨不能驱除仇恨,只有爱才可以做到。Ihaveadreamthatonedaythisnationwillriseupandliveoutthetruemeaningofitscreed:-Weholdthesetruthstobeself-evident,thatallmenarecreatedequal.我有一个梦想:有一天这个国家将会兴起,并且活出它的念的真正意义我们把这些真理当作是自明的,所有的人生而平等!,Todaysracialdiscrimination,1、In2005,severalpolicemenwerebeatinganoldblackpeople;2、In2003,awhitepeoplewhohatetheblackpeoplebroughtweapontokillfiveblackpeoplethenkilledhimself.3、Ablackwomaniscollectingtheinformationofjob,shelostherjobmanymonths.,InAmerica,theracialdiscriminationiseverywhere,theracialconflictoftenhappen,theblackpeoplearetreatedasslavesbywhitepeople,theyoftenhavethelowestsalary,insuranceandmanyunfairtreatment.,WhyAmericanracialdiscriminationissoserious?,1、Themindoftheracialdiscriminationexistinmanywhitepeoplesminds.Theyalwaystreattheblackpeopleasslavesorthinkthemascriminals.2、SomeoftheblackpeopleinAmericabecomelazyandcrazy,theydontworkanddoharmfulthingstothesociety,suchasrobbing,stealingandkillingpeople.3、Thegovernmentdontpaymoreattentionontheracialdiscrimination,sometimestheymaybedeprivetheblackpeoplesrightstomaintainthewhitepeoplesrights.4、Theconflictofhistorywhichtheblackpeopletrytogetf
