英语一般使用连接词连系动词都叫动词(Link Verb),本身有实际意义,但不能单独用谓语,要在后面加上谓语,构成复合谓语。系动词和其后的表语结合起来称为系表结构。表结构主要是为了说明主语的状态、特性、特征等。一、表示状态的动词用于说明主语状态的只有一个be,但be的形式因人称和时态而异,有am,are,is,was,were,名词,形容词,分词,不定式,副词,介词短语等在后面标注。例如:The man is a science teacher。Marys new dresses were colorful。第二,表示持久性的动词用于保持Keep、remain、stay、lie、stand、continue、rest等状态或态度(例如:)Please keep quiet。Several problems remain to be solve。I hope the weather will stay fine。whole city lay in ruins after the earth quake。black stands high in the public estimation。The weather continues cold。My grandfather will never rest idle。三、表“上”动词主要用于表达seem、appear和look等概念,如下所示:She seems very happy with the new job。He appeared to be talking to himself .谢禄快乐。四、感觉动词感官动词主要有feel、smell、sound、taste等,后面接形容词,说明是什么状态,其意思分别是“触摸/闻/听/尝”。这个动词的主题往往不是人,而是事物。例如:The tomatoes feel very soft。These flowers smell very sweet。the music sounds very pleasing to the ear。The meat tastes delicious。五、表示变化的动词这些动词表示主语如何变化,主要有become、grow、turn、fall、get、go、come、run等。这些词后面大都引用了形容词,但become、turn、sound、remain、seem也可以用名词作为表语,但turn和名词没有冠词。例如:She became a famous writer。他的coldis growing worse。In autumn the leaves turn yellow。they first met at university and later fell in love。那个getting cold。牛奶威士酱。我的肖尔营。The river was beginning to run dry。turnis doctor。=he becomes a doctor。六、表结束动词表示主语发送的动作结束了,主要有prove和turn out,表示确认和替换的意思。例如:我的advice proved(to be) wrong。He proved a competent manager。the party turned out(to be)very successful。the rookie turned out(to be)the best hitter on the team。七、动词学习注意事项1.特别注意“be过去分词”构成的表结构及其构成被动语态的差异。表结构侧重于表示主语的特征或位置,通常没有由by引导的介词短语。例如The door was closed .被动语态强调主语是谓语动词中显示的动作的继承者,表示动作。句子中可以使用by诱导的介词短语。例如:The door was closed by me。另外,请注意“be V-ing”构成的系谱结构与其构成时态的区别。表结构集中说明主语具有的特性或存在的状态,也可以说明主语是什么。示例:My job is teaching English。时态强调主语在做什么。Mr .
