1、“一桶一次”装置设计,加拿大“一大堆水桶侵入了城市居住生活,掠夺了城市居民的公共空间”,这便是该装置设计的最初构想。装置最初为2017年3月举行的Mextrpoli城市建筑艺术节临时展馆,在此展中它为人们带去了全新的城市探险体验。此次该装置由创作团队重新设计,并在温尼伯设计艺术节和加拿大文化日活动中展出,收获了来访者的极大关注和热情。Initially designed as a pavilion for people explore and enjoy as part of Mextrpoli City Architecture Festival in March 2017, the ins

2、tallation was inspired by the prevalent use of buckets to hijack public space in Mexico City. Received with great enthusiasm by visitors, these strong local origins of the bucket have been reinterpreted by the design team in a new project for the Winnipeg Design Festival and Nuit Blanche/Culture Day

4、ith a population of more than 23 million people, 4.5 million daily commuters navigate complex road networks, frequent traffic jams, public protests and parking shortages. The streetthe prime public spaceis the setting for all such friction. There, “viene viene”entrepreneurs who function outside of g

5、overnment oversightbribe the local police, use common painters buckets to claim a piece of the street, and charge hopeful drivers looking for a parking spot with an additional fee in exchange for access to their illegal stall. Each viene viene can control one or several city blocks with their bucket

6、s, and will threaten anyone who parks without agreeing to pay them.装置如同席卷而来的巨大地毯,the buckets are roped together which act like a giant blanket“One Bucket at a Time”装饰用油漆桶代表城市街区来打造这一互动式的艺术节展馆。通过绳子将油漆桶连在一起形成可塑的表面,它如同地毯一般变换着姿态席卷而来,并能人为的调节其高度和卷度。来访者可以在此踩踏、移动、跳跃、就坐、休憩或从事各种公共活动。在三天的展览中,位于高处的油漆桶将逐渐下放至地面。通过

Connecting the buckets via a grid of ropes, the in

8、stallation is a malleable surface that the public is encouraged to freely explore. The surface functions like a giant carpet, and can be rolled, pulled together or up to a point or along a line taking on different forms. People can sit, run, play, stand, lounge, and participate in the act of taking

9、over the public realm. In situ for a three-day period, the installation will come down gradually, released from the ropes and absorbed by the city. By using bucketsa symbol of holding the public space hostagewe are highlighting and questioning this pervasive condition, and also empowering people of
