2、oday is taken from unit 1 of module 8 in the new standard English, Book 6,“What do you suggest?”. Its mainly about suggestions and communication. And its really close to our life, so it can enable students to develop their abilities of speaking, listening, communication, and their interest in Englis

3、h. Part 2: Analysis of the students Students in Grade 5 are clever, active and lively. Having been learning English for about 3 years, they have got some basic English knowledge, and they can express themselves in simple English. They also have great interest in learning English now. Part 3: Analysi

4、s of the teaching aims According to the teaching material and the condition of the Ss, I put forward the teaching aims of this lesson word整理版 学习参考资料 as follows. 1. Aims on the knowledge: To enable the Ss to get the words: suggest, quickly, kind and so on. Make sure that the Ss catch the sentence pat

5、terns in real situations: What do you suggest? HowWhat about? Why dont you? 2. Aims on the abilities: To enable students to make suggestions with the above sentences. To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, cooperation and communication. 3. Aims on the emotion: To train the Ss love and c

6、onfidence in learning English. Part 4: Teaching importance and difficulty 1. Key-points of this lesson: To grasp the new words and sentence patterns above all. 2. Difficult points: To enable students to make suggestions in real situations. Part 5: Analysis of the teaching methods word整理版 学习参考资料 As w

7、e all know, students in Grade 5 are active and competitive, but they cant keep long attentions on one lesson. Besides, the main aim of learning English in primary school is to develop their good sense of English language. So Ill mainly use “Task-based” teaching method and “Situational approach” in t

8、his lesson. Part 6: Teaching aids In this lesson, I will use the recorder and tape ( they are for listening), words cards(they are for learning new words)and the multimedia (it is for showing pictures, tasks and key points to the Ss). Part 7: Teaching procedures Ill finish this lesson in six steps.

9、Step : Greeting and Warming-up 1: Greet to everyone. 2: Ill begin the lesson with a song (“We are clever boys and girls.”) Singing a song will make students feel happy and released, and it can rouse their exciting emotion in learning English. Step : Presentation 1: Lead-in: My friends birthday is co

10、ming, what word整理版 学习参考资料 kind of present can I give her/ him? Any suggestions? Ill Show the Ss some pictures of the presents on the screen. (From this talk, itll come to the right topic, and I can write down the title on the BB.) 2: New words teaching. Guide the Ss to learn the new words. First, le

11、t the Ss try to pronounce the new words with the phonetic symbols learnt before. Then guide the Ss to get the meaning and usage of the words. At last, guide the Ss to read the words with words cards in different ways. (Practice makes perfect.) 3: New teaching of the text. (Ill complete the part with

12、 three tasks.) Task Listen to the tape and choose the right answers. Task Listen again and find the answers. (It aims to let the Ss practise their listening.) Task Read the text by themselves and find out Sams suggestions. (This step can be used to make the Ss get the general idea of the dialogue as

14、get the important patterns quickly.) Step : Practice Practice makes perfect. So I design some practice. 1. I am the reading star! Read the text and the important sentence patterns. (That is to help the Ss get a better understanding of the key structure of the text and the important patterns 2. Game:

15、 I say a word, you should say out your advices(建议)in three different ways. (.It can make Ss practice the key knowledge points in real situations.) Eg: A cake: 1.What about a cake? 2. 16、vity of “what kind of present for my mother?”. (Mothers Day is coming. Every mother is great. So lets give them some presents. What do you suggest?) Ill show some pictures to the Ss which created by the multimedia. And the Ss can choose the presents for their mothers. (To practise the language objec

17、ts in a real situation is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. And it also can arouse the Ss strong love to their mothers.) Besides, “Interview” is used to survey other students presents for their mothers. (Communicative teaching method is used here. It will help the Ss transform

18、the language knowledge into ability by communicating in English. And their ability of co-operation will be well trained.
