P articularly the sp oke or dish area is e

Additi on ally all components in the subseque nt area of the wheel, e.g. wheel flan ges and flange beari ngs in cludi ng their screw connections become stressed by rotat ing bending mome nt loads. These stresses can be simulated in the laboratory wit
5、h a rotati ng bending test rigs with an un bala needmass. Adva ntages of these systems are an ex-tremely low en ergy consump ti on, high testi ng freque ncies, small maintenance costs and an exact automatic incipient crack recog niti on. The wheel test rig for p asse nger and small truck wheels is d
6、esig ned as an un bala need mass reso-nance test rig for applying rotati ng bending loads up to 10 kNm. The wheel is cla mped on a base-p late with T-slots. Because of the stiff assembly it is p ossible to test wheels up to a size of 25”. The rotat ing bending load is in troduced to the sp ecime n b
7、y a lever-arm which is conn ected to the un bala need mass drive. For the ada ptati on of differe nt rim sizes the lever-arm can be height ad-justed by a manual spin dle drive with shaft join ts. To meet the high requireme nts of the data acquisiti on and the con trolli ng the lever-arm has four mea
8、suri ng poin ts. The load frame works with its mass as a counterp art, which can move freely. The dyn amic uncoup li ng takes pl ace by means of sprin gs.
