1、如何利用高三第一轮复习提高英语写作? 普通高校招生全国统一考试大纲英语学科说明(以下简称“考纲”)为考生了解和把握不同层次的写作要求提供了参照,考生可据此明确自己写作的努力方向。考纲中对书面表达的评分标准分五个档次,其中最高档次的要求是:“完全完成了试题规定的任务;覆盖所有内容要点;应用了较多的语法结构和词汇;语法结构或词汇方面有些许错误,但为尽力使用较复杂结构或较高级词汇所致,具备较强的语言应用能力;有效地使用了语句间的连接成分,使全文结构紧凑”。 由此可见,获得高分的英语书面表达应具备的特征是:文章结构清晰,语言简洁流畅,句式灵活多样。文章结构清晰指的是在文章思路、材料组织、叙述顺序等方面
2、要有一定的条理性;根据需要,安排好段落,各段之间层次分明,同时重视每一段的开头和结尾。语言简洁流畅就是语言简洁、不重复,并且根据整篇文章思想的需要,有效地采用不同的连接手段,使行文连贯。句式灵活多样就是能随情景内容的变化写出句式多样的语句。 从这些要求不难看出,现在的高考对学生的英语写作技能提出了越来越高的要求,从原来的“能用英语”层次提高到“会用英语”层次。尽管目前大多数学生的总体英语写作水平还未达到此要求,但如果我们把这一要求作为平时训练的要求和标准,对我们写作水平的提高也是大有裨益的。 下面,笔者将结合多年的高三教学经验,谈谈在第一轮复习中应该如何进行写作复习。 一、回归课本,读写结合,
3、丰富素材 “读书破万卷,下笔如有神”,语言技能的提高离不开语言输入和知识积累,而阅读正是学生获得语言输入的主要途径,离开了阅读的写作只能是无源之水。阅读是我们获取英语写作素材最主要的途径,也是我们学习遣词造句和谋篇布局的最佳途径。 高中英语课本里所选课文题材丰富,语言地道,而且篇章结构严谨,用词规范准确,句子长度适合学生的英语水平。同学们应该在教师指导下进行大量有效的阅读,再消化和吸收课文的精华,使之变为表达方式的范例和写作的素材。在阅读课本的同时还应该从如下几个方面进行有目的的训练,对课本的内容进行挖掘、融合,让课本更好地为写作服务。 1.收集好词好句,加强语言积累 “问渠哪得清如许,为有源
4、头活水来”,没有累积一定的词汇知识和语法知识,就很难正确地进行英语表达,更不可能写出优美的英语短文。因此,在阅读时要做有心人,每当读到好的句子、碰到好的文章,赶快拿起笔,把它记在本子上,然后定期地翻看甚至背下来。在构思作文时,迅速在脑中搜索一下,之前收集过的句子有没有适合在这里用的,这样就能取得事半功倍的效果。即便不能妙笔生花,但如果文章中有一两个亮点,也能提升你的写作档次。 譬如,我们在课文中经常会读到一些运用了比喻、拟人手法的句子,它们会把简单的事物表达得更为形象、生动。人教版高中英语教材(以下简称“教材”)模块1的unit 3中“our legs were so heavy and co
5、ld that they felt like blocks of ice”用“blocks of ice”来比喻我们的双腿长时间在寒冷天气中而变得麻木的感觉,能使读者身临其境,感觉自己正置身于冰天雪地里。 另外,有一些句子中恰到好处地运用了过渡词,如教材模块2的unit 3 中“anyhow, my goal is to provide humans with a life of high quality as a result i totally changed my shape”, “anyhow”“as a result”用来表达概括性、综述性的意思。还有这样的一些句子,读到它们,我们脑
6、海里会出现句子所描述的画面,如教材模块1的unit 3中“however, the lakes shone like glass in the setting sun and looked wonderful”,译为“然而,湖水在落日的余晖下闪亮如镜,景色迷人”。 这样的点滴积累会让我们真正体会英语的语言美,同时必然会产生希望自己能够写出这样优美文字的愿望。那么,什么样的语句才谈得上优美呢?笔者以为应该是:修辞得当,让表现力更强;语言清新,让感染力更强;语法精当,让层次感更强;意境优美,让认同感更强。语言的美就在于它的意境,在于“胸中皆有,笔下皆无”。 当然,还有一些句子尽管不是那么优美,但却
7、是地道的英文表达,是高中英语学习中的一些典型句型。我们可以学习它们的遣词造句,做到多读、多记。例如下面这些句子,看上去都很熟悉,但往往在写作时很难想起它们。 (1)it is necessary for us to keep english diaries to form the good habit of thinking in english. (2)it is everyones responsibility to stop the earth from being polluted and protect our environment. (3)with the internet be
8、coming more and more popular, internet addiction has become a serious social problem. (4)their homework finished, they went to the gym to play basketball with their friends. (5)only by preventing the earth from warming up can we make the earth a better place to live on in the future. 2.尝试多种方式,注重一句多译
9、 为了锻炼我们用英语的思维习惯,在第一轮复习中可以有意识地对某些句子进行一句多译,再比较它们的优点,这样往往能取得意想不到的效果。 例如“他认为学好英语很重要”一句,有以下几种表达方式: (1)he thinks it important to learn english well. (2)he thinks it of great importance to learn english well. (3)he thinks learning english well is very important. (4)he thinks highly of learning english well
10、. (5)he cares a lot about learning english well. (6)he attaches great importance to learning english well. 再比如在教材模块1 的unit 1中“待在室内太久,我对自然变得狂热起来”一句,可以有以下几种表达方式: (1)i had stayed indoors for so long that i became crazy about nature. (2)after i stayed indoors for a long time, nature began to keep me spe
11、llbound. (3)staying inside for so long made me excited about nature. (4)after being inside for long, i found it so exciting to learn about nature. 这样的尝试不但可以提高我们学习英语的参与意识和对英语的掌控能力,而且可以在这种“润物细无声”的方式下完成写作素材的积累。 3.创设模仿话题,力求有感而发 课本中文章的话题通常与我们的学习、生活息息相关,所以在复习中,我们可以对这些话题发表自己的看法,并形成文字。例如,在复习完教材模块1的前三个单元后,我们
12、可以尝试写几个与本单元话题有关的句子,然后与同学相互交流、学习。 (1)learning english well doesnt mean spending much time. what is really important is to keep studying a little and practice as much as you can every day. (2)life is a journey. what matters is not the terminal but the scenery along the way. (3)to learn english not onl
13、y means to know some new words or sentences. more importantly, it helps us view the world in a completely new way. (4)a friend is a person who will encourage you when you fail and who will give you advice when you are confused. (5)you can go ahead without friendship, but you cant go further without
14、friendship. (6)its of vital importance to have a good friend to whom you can talk when you are down. 除此之外,遇到合适的话题,模仿写作也是十分必要的。譬如,教材模块10 unit 3的第二篇文章是i have a dream,对于这一话题,我们应该有话可说,所以不妨一试。下面是一位同学在这一课题后的习作,让我们一起分享: i have a dream exactly at this moment, as repeated shooting of guns still fills the del
15、icate libya, i have a dream in my heart that one day well never hear this noise any more. i have a dream today. i have a dream that one day in korea, president in the south and north could sit at the same table, talking like brothers. i have a dream that one day in libya, what we can see are the ric
16、h life people live rather than ruins everywhere. i have a dream that one day in china, we wont need warships to guarantee the safety of south china sea. this is my dream. the dream is deep inside everyones heart. the world is a big family. some members are powerful, some are weak, sometimes we love
17、each other very much, sometimes we fight like enemies. if we can shake hands with each other every time after we have conflicts. thats what we want to see. today, i stand here with the hope that well never answer violence to violence in every conflict. with this hope, well be able to see the recover
18、y of afghanistan and iraq, iran and libya. with this hope, well be able to build a bridge across the deep, uncrossable river of race and nationality differences. with this hope, we will never suffer the sorrow of losing our beloved ones. with this hope, well be able to combine facing the same challe
19、nge together. this is my dream. this is everyones dream. if we want all this to come true, lets pray together, struggle together and go to great length to get a lasting peace. when this day comes, the unpleasant sounds of our world will be transformed into symphony of harmony, and in every corner on
20、 the earth, at night people will fall asleep in peaceful silence. imitate obama to give a speech for the next national selection. 虽然文中有些错误,但行文流畅、思想积极,总体说来,瑕不掩瑜。从文中不难看出他在努力地尝试使用一些我们刚学过的好词好句,如果能长期坚持,就会在不知不觉中为今后的写作积累了素材。 二、体验“复杂结构”,深化语法学习 对语法的学习,很多学生仅停留在对语法结构形式的认知,以解答单选题为终极目标,忽视了它的语用价值。其实细想一下,我们不难发现:感叹
21、句让人物感情跃然纸上,同位语从句帮助我们完善句意,定语从句表达完整且主次分明,非谓语结构简洁生动,倒装句能保持句子结构平衡,虚拟语气极尽感激、遗憾或悔恨之意,被动语态能给句子带来地道英语之美。如果在写作中运用这些语法,我们的文章就更有感染力、更有“劲道”了。 因此,在平时的练习中,我们是否可以把工作做得更细致一些呢?仔细读读自己的作文,找出几个句子,尝试着换一种说法,可能会收到意想不到的效果。例如: 1.people have taken measures to prevent the river from being polluted. measures have been taken to
22、 prevent the river from being polluted. 2.the environment will never improve until everybody takes care of it. not until everybody takes care of it will the environment improve. 3. i want to have a computer of my own very much. how i want to have a computer of my own! 4. new technology was used in t
23、eaching, so teachersenergy was saved and students became interested in the lessons. new technology was used in teaching. as a result, not only was teachers energy saved but students became interested in the lessons. 5. i passed the physics exam because of your help. i couldnt have passed the physics
24、 exam but for your help. 6. she walked out of the lab and many students followed her. followed by many students, she walked out of the lab. 当然,复杂的句式结构是“双刃剑”,在写作中我们不要刻意或生搬硬套地运用这些复杂的结构,否则弄巧成拙,行文反而晦涩难懂。 三、品味日常生活,体会语言之美 语言之美无处不在,平时我们要学会并习惯欣赏美文,时刻带着一双发现美的眼睛。高三阶段我们经常做的练习,如填空题、单项选择题、完形填空、阅读理解等,都可能是我们欣赏的材料。
25、例如: after the long journey, the three of them went back home, _. a.hungry and tiredly b.hungry and tired c.hungrily and tiredly d.hungrily and tired i would be _(感激) if you could give me an early reply. 对于这些试题,找出正确答案还远远不够,我们的终极目标应该是能用类似的句子。 又如下面这篇完形填空,在做完练习后我们不妨细细品味一下文中的好句(见黑体字)。 on a hot summer day in late august, i sought shade and a cool drink at a waterfront cafe on a greek island. over a hundred degrees in 36 air. crowded. tempers(脾气) of both the to
