9、s to aid creati on/modificati on of geometry in LightTools. One com mon example is the use of a dummy sphere (or a poin t/coord in atesystem object) as a specific refere nee point (also known as a tag pointfor selecti on) for complex objects that do not have a desirable refere nee point for selecti

10、on. By select ing the dummy reference first, and the n select ing the complex object(s), we can use our refere nee object as the selecti onpoint for comma ndslike Copy, Move, Rectangular/Circular Array, etc. One undesirable effect of this approach is the creati on of additi onal refere nee objects t

11、hat can add clutter to the model. This tip highlights how to use the Data Access Helper utility to make the selection process easier for you in order to remove additi onal objects.Con sider the case where you want to create a circular array of LEDs using a base LEDmodel, which does not have a desira

12、ble referenee point for selection/arraying.By addinga dummysphere as a referenee point, we can create the array easily.
