1、人生成功十二课第 1 课: Be a lifelong learnerLearning doesn ' t finish when you leave school.Learning can become a way of life which helps you to achieve your greatest potential.We never stop learning; there is always something new and interesting to discover.Learning new skills can be a bit scary but we
2、all need to do this each time we reach a personal learning plateau.Cross the plateau by actively seeking support and advice.Take up some training, further education, night classes- any new interestwhich will help you to develop your strengths.Keep looking and listening and keep your brain active. Yo

4、eisure to bother about whether you are happy or not. So don' t bother to think about it! Spit on yourhands and get busy. Your blood will start circulating; you mind will start ticking and pretty soon this whole positive upsurge of life in your body will drive worry from your mind.Get busy. Keep

6、tter school than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbreak, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve my performance next time. Never again will I contribute to my downfall by refusing to face the truth and learn from my past mistakes. Because I know: gems cannot shine with
7、out polish, and I cannot perfect myself without hardship.Now I know that there are no times in life when opportunity, the chance to be and do gathers so richly about my soul when it has to suffer cruel adversity. Then everything depends on whether I raise my head or lower it in seeking help. Wheneve
8、r I am struck down, in the future, by any terrible defeat, I will inquire of myself, after the first pain has passed, how I can turn that adversity into good. Ift interpretpeople give me negative feedback or criticize something I do, I donwhat they are saying as meaning that I am a“ bad” person. The
11、belief that Icontrol my own self-esteem permits me to listen to and hear their feedback in a non-defe nsive way look ing to see if there is someth ing I can learn.We have two choices every day. We can feel good about ourselves, or we can feel lousy about ourselves. Why would anyone choose the latter

We all want to believe deep down in our souls that we have a special gift, that we
13、 can make a difference, that we can touch others in a special way, and that we can make the world a better place.At one time in our lives, we all had a vision for the quality of life that we desire and deserve. Yet, for many of us, those dreams have become so shrouded in the frustrations and routine
14、s of daily life that we no longer even make an effort to accomplish them. For far too many, the dream has dissipated and withit, so has the will to shape our destinies. Many have lost that sense of certainty that creates the winner's edge.What we should do is to restore the dreams and to make it

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful individuals with talent. Genius will not; unreward
17、ing genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.Perseverance does not always mean sticking to the same thing forever. It means giving full concentration and effort to whatever you are doing, right now! It
18、 means doing the tough things first and looking downstream for gratification and rewards. It means being happy in your work, but hungry for more knowledge and progress. It means making more calls, going more miles, pulling more weeds, getting up earlier in the day and always being on the lookout for

21、m better equipped in both mind and body than all the emperors and wise men who preceded me. I have unlimited potential. I am a unique creature.I am not on this earth by chance. I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.Henceforth will I app

24、istened to the birds sing. And when was the last time you looked at the sparking stars twinkle in the sky?Time files and life is short. So don ' t forget to stop to smell the flowers. In our eagerness to make a living, we often forget about our quality of life. Too oft en you hear people say,“ I
25、 am too busy, ” for this or that. What ashame! 26、足片刻闻花香时,可能已经太迟了。第9课: Join the smile and complime nt clubWhen you smile at someone and they smile back, you automatically feel better. Even if they don 't smile back, you will feel better because you know the most destitute person in the world is the one without a smile. You immediately become ri
27、cher by giving that person yours.The same goes for the compliment. When you sincerely compliment a person or extend him a courtesy, he is going to receive a direct benefit and like himself better. 29、achieved without it.Without enthusiasm I am doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it I can accomplish miracles.Some of us are enthusiastic at times and a few even retain their eagerness for a day or a week. All that is good but I must and I will form the habit of straining my enthusiasm indefinite
30、ly, honestly, and sincerely so that the success I enjoy today can be repeated tomorrow and next week and next month.We first must make our habits and then, good or bad, they make us. Enthusiasm, the love for whatever it is I am doing at the moment, works in marvelous ways I need not even attempt to
