She is one of the most highly regarded universities in the world and is an ideal place for ambitious youth. I plan to study for Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Cas

3、e Western Reserve University with special interests in metabolism, macromolecular synthesis, and protein crystal growth. I have had plentiful preparations. First, when being an undergraduate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University, I got very extensive and intensive educatio

4、n. I took many courses on chemistry and the related subjects, and earned high scores for most of them. Second, my major, Polymer, can be put into good use in Biochemistry programs because Polymer is closely related with biological Macromolecule. Third, I have working experience that enriches my theo

5、ry and laboratory skills. From 1990 to now, I have been engaged as an Assistant Engineer by the Research institute, Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Corporation (RIBYPC). In the first year, I was in charge of a 5-litre reactor for polymerization of Carboxylated Butadiene-Styene Latex. Then I was transf

6、erred to another research group to synthesize PETPHB copolymer, a kin of polyester, which has the property of Liquid Crystal. I am the assistant head of the group. We can prepare the novel polymer with high molecule weight and excellent property in a 2-litre stainless steel reactor. During this mono

7、mers, with purity of more than 99.99%; this made my leader very satisfied. More than four years of working experiences expand my capacity. I often make use of NMR, X-ray, DSC and other instrumental methods for research. Among them, I am most skilled in NMR reactors, I have experiences on solving pro

8、blems of Engineering and Mechanics. What is more, I am familiar with computer operation and some application software. Yours sincerely, 英国留学的衣食住行 一、穿衣 在英国有很多的大型商场，里面有很多的衣服，当然价格肯定是很贵的，不过质量确实杠杠的，英国人穿得也是比较随意的，比较经典大气。英国的衣服尺码要比国内的大，中国

12、的学生在这里不太好买衣服，想要在这里买一件合身的衣服还需要做很多的功课。建议还是从家里多带些衣服去英国比较好。 二、饮食 英国人主要是吃面食和肉类，米饭也会吃，超市里面的食材也是特别新鲜的一价格也不是很贵，是比较合理的。英国的华人超市有很多国内的食物买，如果你会自己做饭的话是可以有充足的食材给到你的，电器、食材、调料各种中国的厨房用品你都是可以买到的。即使你不想做饭但又想吃中国菜，英国各个城市都是有中国餐厅的，不过在英国吃中国菜是比较昂贵的。英国人喜欢喝茶和咖啡，但是他们不太喜欢喝热水，喝水一般都是喝的凉水，即使在寒冷的冬天也是这样。在英国的学校你也看不到有接热水的地方。 三、住宿 在英国学校

13、的住宿环境是比较好的，平时上课也比较方便，如果你是喜欢独处的一个人你可以选单人床房间，如果你想交朋友你可以选2-4人房的，每个学生都有单独的衣柜。在校外找房子住是相对来说比较自由的，当然房租也要比宿舍贵很多，每个城市的房租不同，看你选的学校是哪个城市的，伦敦肯定是比较贵的。还可以住在英国的当地人的家里面，他们会把你当成他们家庭中的一员，你可以和他们一起吃饭，一起参加家庭聚会，也是要交费用的。 四、出行 英国的车辆是靠左行驶的，这一点你一定要注意。平时去上课，住在学校的学生就不用担心了，走路几分钟就可以到教室，住在外面的学生住的比较远的还可能要坐公交或者地铁，你可以是办一张学生卡，是会优惠很多的

14、。英国的交通还是很完善的，除了上面提到的两种交通工具，国内有的英国也都有。 留学抵达后要做的事项 1、入学登记 这是大家首先要做的事情，一般入学的登记会开放一周左右的时间，大家抵达的时候，基本上可以直接去学校进行办理，学校会有比较完善的安置，大家遵照工作人员的指引完成流程即可。 先要提交自己的offer和基础材料，由负责人员进行审核，通过以后会安置大家进行学生证的办理，需要填写申请表，而且出示证件照片。 2、住宿安置 如果大家申请到了宿舍，那么直接根据成功的界面找到自己的宿舍楼，提交自己成功的证明，而且出示自己的身份证件，护照就可以了，管理人员检查通过了以后，会为你进行宿舍的安置。 一般选择租房的学生，在出国之前就会安置好，抵达以后只需要联系房东或者中介，进行最终的看房确认就可以了，交完各项手续费以后，就可以直接入住了。 3、居留办理 上面的流程结束了以后，大家才拥有办理居留的完整材料，将材料进行整理以后，就可以去警局递交居留的申请了。先要进行基本信息的登记，然后提交材料进行审核。 一般需要等待一周左右的时间，在此期间大家需要完善保险的购买，而且进行相关缴费证明的提交，警局会安置相关内容的审查，居留证明出来了以后大家直接领取就可以了。 4、银行卡申请 虽然大家可以直接使用在国内办理而且带过去的银联卡，但是遇到需要取现的时候，就不得不面对高昂的手续费，如果有一张本地卡，那么可
