importanceofculturaldifferencesininternationalbusinesscommunication;Theteaching

inthismodulewillinvolveavarietyofactivities;particularlyminilecturesandstudent-led

seminars;casestudiesandsimulationsdesignedtoimmerselearnersinavarietyof

unfamiliarculturalscenariosandguidedreadingtasks.Studentswillcarryoutresearch

beliefs;havedevelopedthecommunicationskillsneededtoexpressthatculturalidentityand

participateinanotherculture;havedevelopedstrategiesforself-relianceandindependenceinunpredictableICC

situations;befamiliarwithandabletodiscussorallyandinwriting,arangeoftheoriesanddata

sourcesrelevanttotheanalysisofinterculturalcommunication;•havedevelopedtheirawarenessandunderstandingofdifferencesinacademic
