Warm-up(10mins):
Showpicturesofdifferentanimalsandaskstudentstonamethem.Then,introducethetopicofchickensbyshowingapictureofamotherhenwithherchicks.Askifanyoneknowswhatthebabychickensarecalled.
Presentation(20mins):
Introducethedifferentmembersofachickenfamily:rooster,hen,chick,andegg.Useflashcardstoshowpicturesandteachtherelatedvocabulary.Explainthelifecycleofachickenbyshowingashortvideo.Encouragestudentstoaskquestionsandclarifyanydoubts.
Practice(20mins):
Distributeaworksheetwithdifferentpicturesofchickenfamilymembers.Askstudentstomatchthecorrectnametothepicture.Then,dividestudentsintosmallgroupsandgiveeachgroupasetofflashcards.Askthemtoformsentencesusingthenewvocabularywords.

Body(30minutes):
Step1:PartsofaChicken
Theteacherwillshowpicturecardsofachicken'segg,chick,hen,androoster.Theteacherwillaskstudentstoidentifyeachpartanddescribeitspurpose.
Egg:Theshellprotectsthebabychickinsideandprovidesthenutrientsitneedstogrow.
Chick:Thebabychickenthathatchesfromtheegg.
Hen:Thefemalechickenthatlaystheeggs.
Rooster:Themalechickenthatfertilizestheeggs.
Step2:LifeCycleofaChicken
Theteacherwillshowavideoaboutthelifecycleofachicken.Thestudentswillwatchthevideoandlearnaboutthestepsinachicken'slife,includinglayingeggs,hatching,andgrowingintoanadultchicken.
Step3:ImportanceofChickenstoHumans
Theteacherwillreadabookabouttheimportanceofchickenstohumans.Thestudentswilllearnhowchickensprovidefoodforus,includingmeat,eggs,andfeathers.Theywillalsolearnaboutthedifferentbreedsofchickensandtheiruniquecharacteristics.
