TheMingDynastyhadaprofoundimpactonthepoliticalandeconomichistoryofEastAsia.Asoneofthemostpowerfulempiresatthattime,itstradepoliciesandcommercialactivitieshadasignificantimpactontheneighboringcountries,includingKorea,Japan,andSoutheastAsiancountries.ThispaperfocusesonthetradeactivitiesthatoccurredduringtheperiodofMing'smilitarypresenceontheKoreanislandofPyeongyang,from1623to1637.ThroughtheanalysisofthetraderelationshipsbetweentheMingdynastyanditsEastAsianneighbors,combinedwiththepoliticalandeconomicsituationoftheJoseonDynasty,thispaperexploresthetradestrategiesadoptedbytheMingmilitaryforcesandthemeasurestakentopromotetrade.ItaimstoprovideinsightintohowtheMingdynasty'stradepoliciesinfluencedthepoliticalandeconomicdevelopmentoftheregion.

TradeRelationshipsbetweentheMingDynastyandEastAsianCountries:
