基数词变序数词顺口溜

基变序，有规律，词尾加上th。

一二三特殊记（first，second，third）,

八加h（eighth）,九减e（ninth）

ve要用f替,（fivefifth；twelvetwelfth）

变y为ie,（twentytwentieth，thirtythirtieth）-th最后加上去，

若是第几十几,前为基,后为序。

Languagepoints

序数词的用法：

1.序数词要加定冠词the。但当序数词前有物主代词（his,her…）、指示代词（this,that…）等修饰时，则不必再用the。如：

onthethirdfloor在三楼

onhistwelfthbirthday在他十二岁生日这天

2.序数词常用缩写形式，即“阿拉伯数字+个位序数词的后两个字母”。如：one→1st;second→2nd;third→3rd;twelfth→12th;twenty-sixth→26th

3.序数词可表示日期“几月几日”中的“几日”。如:August17th8月17日October1st10月1日

Grammar：

名词所有格-表示人或物的所有及所属关系，在句中常做定语。

1）单数名词后直接加’s

如：Jim'scoat吉姆的外套

Jeff'smother杰夫的妈妈

2）以s结尾的复数名词，只加’

如：Teachers'Day教师节

thetwins’books双胞胎的书

3）不以s结尾的不规则的复数名词，加’s

如：Children'sDay儿童节

men'sshoes男式鞋

4)表示两者共同拥有时，只在最后一个名词后加’s

表示两者各自拥有时，要在每个名词后加’s

比较：LucyandLily'smother露茜和莉莉的妈妈

注：表示时间、距离、国家、城市等无生命的名词也可以使用名词+'s所有格。如：

afewyears’time几年的时间
