一、教材分析

“天气”这个话题与人们的生活息息相关，是西方人特别是英国人在日常生活中经常谈论的。Unit1谈论天气及其标志和气象信息，谈论不同国家和地区的天气状况，重点学习和天气有关的词汇以及情态动词may,might和副词probably表示可能性的用法。

二、学情分析

学习者是八年级的学生。本节课的内容是Module10Theweather的第一单元，课型为听说课。因七年级时学生们有接触过有关天气的简单表达方式（warm,cool,cold,hotsummer,autumn,winter,what’stheweatherlike）所以会很容易进入主题。但同时对英文的天气预报不太熟悉。本节课会扩充有关天气的词汇，进一步帮助学生更好地掌握天气的习惯表达方式。
