Asayoungboygrowingupinasmalltown,Ialwaysdreamtofbecomingasuccessfulactor.IwasinspiredbythefilmsandperformancesIwouldwatch,andIknewdeepdownthatactingwasmytruepassion.However,Ialsoknewthattheroadtosuccesswouldnotbeeasy.Ifaceddoubtsandskepticismfromotherswhotoldmethatpursuingacareerinactingwasunrealisticandimpossible.

Butinsteadofallowingthesedoubtstoconsumeme,Iusedthemasfueltopropelmyselfforward.Itookeveryactingclassavailableandimmersedmyselfintheworldoftheater.Idedicatedmyselftohoningmycraft,knowingthathardworkanddeterminationwouldbethekeytoachievingmydreams.

However,likemanyofyou,Ifacednumeroussetbacksandrejectionsalongtheway.Countlessauditionspassed,andIbegantoquestionifIwasontherightpath.Friendsandfamilymembersurgedmetogiveupandfindamorestablecareer.Despitetheseobstacles,Iknewdeepdownthatgivingupwasnotanoption.

ItwasduringthistimethatIdiscoveredthepowerofperseverance.Irealizedthatsuccessdoesnotcomeeasily,andthatsetbacksandfailuresaremerelysteppingstonesonthepathtoachievingourdreams.Ilearnedtoembracefailure,toseeitnotasareflectionofmyabilities,butasanopportunitytogrowandimprove.IwouldoftenremindmyselfofthewordsofThomasEdison,whooncesaid,"Ihavenotfailed.I'vejustfound10,000waysthatwon'twork."

Itwasthismindsetthatcarriedmethroughthetoughestoftimes.ItwasthisunwaveringbeliefinmyselfandmyabilitiesthatallowedmetopushthroughthedayswhenIfeltdefeatedanddiscouraged.Andslowly,butsurely,thetidesbegantoturn.

Ilandedmyfirstroleinasmallproductionanduseditasanopportunitytoshowcasemytalentanddetermination.Fromthere,Ireceivedlargerandmoresignificantroles,untilIfinallyachievedthesuccessIhadalwaysdreamtof.

Butmyjourneydoesn'tendthere.Successisnotadestination,butacontinuousjourney.AndjustasIhadtoovercomeobstaclesinthepast,IknowthatIwillfacenewchallengesinthefuture.Andsowillallofyou.
