茶花女英文读后感ThoseBeautifulFlowers---BookReview:“Camille”IreadtheChineseversionof“Camille”afewyearsago.AtthattimeIwasdeeplymovedbythemaincharacterMargueriteGautier.“Camille”or“TheLadyoftheCamellias”byAlexandreDumas,fils,isthestoryofMargueriteGautier,ayoungcourtesan,orkeptwoman,inParisinthemid1800's,andhowshefallsinlovewithayoungman,ArmandDuval,andthentriestoescapefromherquestionablepast.Unfortunately,itcomesbacktohauntherandsheendsupreturningtothatlifeanddiespainfullyandalone,butwiththeknowledgethatshewasanoblewomanatheart.WhenIfirstbegantoreadthebook,IdidnotcareforMargueriteorherattitudeorlifestyle,butasIgotfurtherintothenarrative,Irealizedthathersaucyattitudewasafronttocoverthelonelywomanthatshereallywas.Shefeltused,abusedandunloved,untilthegentleArmandDuvalcameintoherlifeandshowedherthathelovedherasapersonandnotforwhatshecoulddoforhim.ItmusthavetakengreatcourageforMargueritetoleavethelifeshehadlivedforsolong,knowingallalongthatitwasprobablytoogoodtobetrueandwouldnotlastindefinitely.AnditalsoshowedthatMargueritereallylovedArmandDuvalforshecouldevenchangeherselfforhim.However,happinessdidn’tlastforlong.WhenM.Duval,Armand'sfather,cametoher,pleadingforhertoleaveArmandtosavebothArmand'sreputationandthatofhisyoungerinnocentsister,Margueritesawawaytobecomepureofheart,ifnotinbody.Shefeltthatitwasherduty,becauseshelovedArmandsomuch,todothiseventhoughitmeantgivingupherownhappinessandhurtingArmandtemporarily.Shereluctantlyreturnedtoherformerlife,knowingthatsomedayArmandwouldforgiveher.Sadly,shediedindebtandbasicallyalone,exceptforheronefemalefriend,JulieDuprat,whohelpedherduringherillness.ShehadherjournalsenttoArmandafterherdeath,explainingwhyshehadmadethechoicesshehad.IthinkDumas'slastfewlinesaboutMargueritebeingtheexception,nottherulewerequitetrue,andIalsoagreedwithhisviewthatwhileherlifestylecouldnotbecondoned,weasasocietyassumethatallofthesetypeofwomenarecoldandheartless,whilethismaynotalwaysbethecase.Apersoncanmakethewrongchoicesinlifewhentheyareyoung,andtrytoredeemthemselves,butsometimespastsituationspreventthemfromchangingtheirlives,eventhoughtheydesperatelywishtodoso.Thisappliestobothmenandwomeninmanydifferenttypesofcircumstances:involvementincrime;drugoralcoholabuse;gambling;prostitution;financialproblems;poormarriagechoices;etc.Andthisisthefact,whichexistsinthewholesociety.Asfarastheothercharactersinthebook,IthinkMargueritewasrightinsayingthatnoonetrulycaredabouther,butonlywantedsomethingfromher,theonlyexceptionsbeingArmandandJulieDuprat.Ofcourse,theComtedeG.andComtedeN.wantedherbodyandappearance.TheDukeneededto“wakeupandsmellthecoffee”andrealizethatshecouldneverreplacehisdeaddaughter.Ifhetrulycared,hecouldhavehelpedherleaveherlifestylewithout“keeping”herhimself.Andlastly,Prudencewasablood-suckingleechwhousedMargueritealmostworsethanthemen.IalsothinkshewasjealousofthefactthatMargueritehadsomuchmorecouragethanherselfandsomeonetrulylovedher.Lastmorning,whentidingmybookshelf,Itookthisbookoutoftheshelf,andadriedflowerflewawayfromthebook.Itwaspaleblue,verytransparent,withthinfineveins.adriedflowerflewawayfromthebook.Itwaspaleblue,verytransparent,withthinfineveins.Ihelditagainstthemorninglightandblewonit.Thesoftbreezecarrieditaway.Camilleisjustlikethecamellia,shecouldneverescapefromthedestinyofwithering.Butitwasn’therfault;it’sbecauseoftheevilofCapitalismandthehideousnessofthatsociety.Suddenly,Irememberedasaying:“Womenareliketheflowers”.Thoseprettywomenarelikethosebeautifulflowers;theirdelicatebeautymakespeoplefeeltheyarethemiracleoflife.However,eventheGodenviestheirbeauty.Itseemsthatbeautifulwomenalwayshavetragicendings.Aswearenormalpersons,evenwecanseethehideousnessofhumanitythatresultsintheirfateofwithering,wecanatmostaskquietlyinourhearts:Wherehavethosebeautifulflowersgone?Wherehavetheygone?第二篇:bookreportofTheLadyoftheCamellias-茶花女的英文读后感(578字)3400字TheLovebetweenMargueriteandArmand——TheLadyoftheCamellias“TheLadyoftheCamellias”waswrittenbyAlexandreDumas,fils.It’sastoryofMargueriteGautier,ayoungcourtesan,inParisinthemid1800's;it’sastoryofhowshefellinlovewithayoungman,ArmandDuval,andthentriedtoescapefromherquestionablepast;it’sastoryofhowsheendedupreturningtoherformerlifeanddiedpainfullyandlonely.IhadbeenthinkingthatitwasArmandDuval’sfatherwhostrangledMarguerite’slove,whileafterreadingthebookIrealizedactuallyitwasArmand’svanityandsuspiciondidit.Therearetwowaysinpursuingacourtesan:moneyandsentiment.Armand’s8000francwasabsolutelyinsufficient.Thereforehecouldonlyuse“sentiment”topursueMarguerite.Finallyafterseveralyearsofeffort,ArmandnotonlymadeMargueritehislover,butalsowonhertruelove.Acourtesansellsherbodyandsoulforliving,butshealsohaslovewhichoneisnotwillingtosell.Perhapsitisbecauseshehasseentoomuchhypocrisythatshetreatslovemorecarefully,andalsolongsfortruelove.WhenmistakingArmand’sadmirationforthetruelove,Margueritedevotedalltohimwithouthesitation.However,Armandactuallydidnotbelievethatacourtesanknewtruelove,thereforeArmandsentMargueritealetteraskingforrupturejustthethirddayafterwinningherheart.Whereas,whenherealized
