That’swhy,earlierthisweek,webroughtworkingdadsfromacrossAmericatotheWhiteHousetotalkaboutthechallengestheyface.Andinafewweeks,I’llholdthefirst-everWhiteHouseWorkingFamiliesSummit.We’vestillgottoomanyworkplacepoliciesthatbelonginthe1950s,andit’stimetobringthemuptodatefortoday’sfamilies,whereoftentimes,bothparentsareworking.Momsanddadsdeserveaffordablechildcare,andtimeofftocareforasickparentorchildwithoutrunningintohardship.Womendeserveequalpayforequalwork–andatatimewhenmorewomen

arebreadwinnersforafamily,thatbenefitsmen,too.Andbecausenoparentwhoworksfull-timeshouldhavetoraiseafamilyinpoverty,it’stimeforCongresstofollowtheleadofstateafterstate,getonthebandwagon,andgiveAmericaaraise.
