基于语料库的高中英语写作动词与名词搭配错误分析研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheverb-nouncollocationerrorscommonlyfoundinhighschoolstudents'writing,andtoproposeeffectivestrategiesforimprovingtheirwritingskills.ByanalyzingacorpusofseniorhighschoolEnglishessays,weidentifycommonpatternsofverb-nounmismatchesanddiscusstheimplicationsoftheseerrorsfortheoverallcoherenceandclarityofwrittenexpression.Thefindingssuggestthatexplicitinstructiononverb-nouncollocationscansignificantlyenhancestudents'writingquality.Introduction:Writingisanessentialskillforstudentsatalllevelsofeducation,anditplaysacrucialroleinconveyingideaseffectively.However,despitetheimportanceofwritinginacademicandprofessionalsettings,manyhighschoolstudentsstillstrugglewithverb-nouncollocationerrors,whichcanhindertheirabilitytoexpressthemselvesclearlyandpersuasively.ThispaperaimstoshedlightontheissuebyanalyzingacorpusofhighschoolEnglishessaysandidentifyingcommonpatternsofverb-nounmismatches.Methodology:Toconductthisstudy,wecollectedacorpusof100highschoolEnglishessaysfromdifferentsubjectsandgradelevels.Wethenanalyzedeachessaylinebyline,focusingspecificallyonverb-nouncollocations.Weidentifiedinstanceswheretheverbdidnotlogicallyfollowthenoun,leadingtoincorrectorawkwardsentencestructure.Additionally,wenotedanyinstanceswheretheverbandnounweresynonymousbutnotusedappropriatelyincontext.Results:Ouranalysisrevealedseveralcommonpatternsofverb-nouncollocationerrorsinhighschoolEnglishwriting.Firstly,therewasatendencyforstudentstouseweakverbs(e.g.,"like","seem","appear")whentheyshouldbeusingmoreforcefulverbs(e.g.,"believe","consider","determine").Secondly,therewereinstanceswherestudentsusedverbsthatwerenotappropriateforthecontext,suchasusing"run"foractivitieslikeswimmingorcycling.Finally,therewerecaseswhereverbsandnounsweresynonymousbutnotusedeffectivelyinrelationtoeachother,leadingtoawkwardsentencestructures.Discussion:Theresultsofouranalysishighlighttheimportanceofverb-nouncollocationinensuringtheclarityandcoherenceofwrittenexpression.Studentswhomakefrequenterrorsinthisareamayfinditchallengingtocommunicatetheirideaseffectively,bothintheirownwritingandinreadingcomprehension.Therefore,itiscrucialforeducatorstoincorporateexplicitinstructiononverb-nouncollocationintotheircurriculum.Thiscouldincludeteachingstudentshowtochooseappropriateverbsbasedonthenountheyaredescribing,aswellasprovidingexamplesofcorrectusageinvariouscontexts.Additionally,incorporatingexercisesthatfocusonverb-nounpairingscanhelpstudentsdeveloptheirvocabularyandgrammarskillsmoreeffectively.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thisstudyhasshedlightontheissueofverb-nouncollocationerrorsinhighschoolEnglishwriting.Byanalyzingacorpusofessaysandidentifyingcommonpatterns,wehaveidentifiedareaswhereimprovementisneeded.Assuch,itisessentialforeducatorstoincorporateexplicitinstructiononverb-nouncollocationintotheircurriculum,andforstudentstopracticeregularlytoimprovetheirwritingskills.Withconsistenteffortandtargetedinstruction,studentscanbecomemoreconfidentandeffectivecommunicatorsinwrittenexpression.Inconclusion,thisstudyhasshedlightontheissueofverb-nouncollocationerrorsinhighschoolEnglishwriting.Byanalyzingacorpusofessaysandidentifyingcommonpatterns,wehaveidentifiedareaswhereimprovementisneeded.Assuch,itisessentialforeducatorstoincorporateexplicitinstructiononverb-nouncollocationintotheircurriculum,andforstudentstopracticeregularlytoimprovetheirwritingskills.Withconsistenteffortandtargetedinstruction,studentscanbecomemoreconfidentandeffectivecommunicatorsinwrittenexpression.Thisresearchcontributestothefieldbyprovidingempiricalevidenceofcommonverb-nounmismatchesinhighschoolEnglishwritingandofferingpracticalstrategiesforaddressingtheseissues.Ithighlightstheimportanceofverb-nouncollocationinensuringclarityandcoherenceinwrittenexpression.Thefindingssuggestthatexplicitinstructiononverb-nouncollocationcansignificantlyenhancestudents'writingquality.Therefore,educatorsshouldprioritizeincorporatingsuchinstructionintotheirteachingmethods,makingitanintegralpartofthelearningexperience.Finally,thisstudyencouragesfurtherresearchonthetopic,astheremaybeotherfactorscontributingtoverb-nounmismatchesinwriting.Additionally,itcallsfor
