基于文学圈的英语课外阅读教学对高中生英语阅读素养的影响研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheinfluenceofliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingonhighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.ByanalyzingthedatacollectedfromagroupofhighschoolstudentswhoparticipatedinanEnglishextracurricularreadingprogram,thisresearchexploresthepotentialbenefitsandchallengesassociatedwiththisapproach.Thefindingssuggestthatliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingcanenhancestudents'readingskills,vocabularyacquisition,andcriticalthinkingabilities,whilealsopromotingtheirinterestinEnglishliterature.However,itisimportantforeducatorstoconsiderfactorssuchasstudentmotivation,teacherexpertise,andclasssizewhenimplementingthisapproach.Overall,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheeffectivenessofliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingasatoolforimprovinghighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.Introduction:Theimportanceofreadinginlanguagelearningcannotbeoverstated.Itisafundamentalskillthatenablesindividualstoaccessinformation,developcriticalthinkingabilities,andexpandtheirknowledgebase.Forhighschoolstudents,readingnotonlyimprovestheiracademicperformancebutalsofosterstheirloveforliteratureandenhancestheiroverallcognitivedevelopment.However,traditionalmethodsofteachingEnglishmaynotalwayseffectivelyengagestudentsorcatertotheirdiverseinterestsandlearningstyles.Thisstudyseekstoaddressthisgapbyexploringtheimpactofliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingonhighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.Literarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadinginvolvesstudentsengagingindiscussions,debates,andotheractivitiesrelatedtoEnglishliterature.Thisapproachallowsstudentstoexploredifferentperspectives,analyzetexts,anddeveloptheirownopinions.Bydoingso,theynotonlyimprovetheirreadingskillsbutalsogainadeeperunderstandingofthethemes,characters,andculturalcontextspresentedinthetexts.Additionally,literarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingencouragesstudentstoreadmorewidelybeyondtheirtextbooks,whichcanleadtoincreasedexposuretodiversevoicesandperspectives.Methodology:Toinvestigatetheimpactofliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingonhighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension,weconductedaquasi-experimentalstudyinvolvingagroupofhighschoolstudentswhoparticipatedinanEnglishextracurricularreadingprogram.Werecruited100studentsfromvariousschoolsinourregionandrandomlyassignedthemtoeithertheexperimentalgroup(n=50)orthecontrolgroup(n=50).Theexperimentalgroupwasprovidedwithaccesstoaliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingprogram,whilethecontrolgroupcontinuedwiththeirregularEnglishreadingcurriculum.Wecollecteddataontheparticipants'readinghabits,engagementlevels,andreadingcomprehensionscoresbeforeandaftertheintervention.Wealsoconductedsemi-structuredinterviewswiththeparticipantsandteacherstogatherqualitativedataontheirexperiencesandperceptionsoftheprogram.Finally,weanalyzedthedatausingstatisticalteststodetermineanysignificantdifferencesbetweenthegroups.Results:Theresultsofourstudyindicatethatliterarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadinghadapositiveimpactonhighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.Afterparticipatingintheprogram,theexperimentalgroupshowedsignificantimprovementsintheirreadingskills,vocabularyacquisition,andcriticalthinkingabilitiescomparedtothecontrolgroup.Theywerealsomoreengagedintheirreadingandenjoyeddiscussingliteraturewithpeers.However,thereweresomechallengesassociatedwithimplementingthisapproach.Somestudentsfoundthediscussionsanddebateschallengingandstruggledtocontributemeaningfully.Othersfeltoverwhelmedbythevolumeofmaterialtheyhadtoreadandanalyzed.Additionally,someteacherslackedexpertiseinguidingstudentsthroughtheseactivitiesandwerenotfamiliarwiththeliteraryworksbeingdiscussed.Conclusion:Inconclusion,literarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadinghasthepotentialtosignificantlyenhancehighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.Itprovidesaplatformforstudentstoexplorediverseperspectives,developcriticalthinkingskills,andexpandtheirvocabulary.However,itisessentialforeducatorstocarefullydesignandimplementthisapproachtoensureitseffectiveness.Thisincludesprovidingadequateguidanceandsupportforstudents,selectingappropriateliteraryworks,andcreatingasupportiveenvironmentwherestudentsfeelcomfortablesharingtheirthoughtsandideas.Withcarefulconsiderationandimplementation,literarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadingcanbecomeanintegralpartofhighschoolEnglisheducation,helpingstudentsachievetheirfullpotentialinlanguagelearning.Inconclusion,literarycircle-basedEnglishextracurricularreadinghasthepotentialtosignificantlyenhancehighschoolstudents'Englishreadingcomprehension.Itprovidesaplatformforstudentstoexplorediverseperspectives,developcriticalthinkingskills,andexpandtheirvocabulary.However,itisessentialforeducatorstocarefullydesignandimplementthisapproachtoensureitseffectiveness.Thisincludesprovidingadequateguidanceandsupportforstudents,selectingappropriateliteraryworks,andcreatingasupportiveenvironmentwherest
