高中英语教师对学生自主学习能力培养的教学信念和实践研究Abstract:ThisstudyaimstoexploretheteachingbeliefsandpracticesofhighschoolEnglishteachersinfosteringstudents'self-learningcapabilities.Byanalyzingthecurrenteducationalcontext,teacherattitudes,andclassroommanagementstrategies,thisresearchseekstoidentifyeffectivemethodsforenhancingstudents'autonomouslearningskills.Thefindingssuggestthatacombinationofsupportiveinstructionalapproaches,student-centeredlearningenvironments,andcontinuousprofessionaldevelopmentcansignificantlyenhancestudents'self-directedlearningabilities.Introduction:Theimportanceofself-learningcapabilitiesintoday'sglobalizedworldcannotbeoverstated.Intherealmofeducation,particularlyinthefieldofEnglishlanguageacquisition,studentsmustnotonlyacquireknowledgebutalsodeveloptheabilitytolearnindependently.Thisisespeciallycrucialasitpreparesthemforfutureacademicandprofessionalchallenges.However,traditionalteachingmodelsoftenprioritizerotememorizationandexampreparation,neglectingthecultivationofstudents'intrinsicmotivationandself-regulatoryskills.TeachingBeliefs:HighschoolEnglishteachersholddiversebeliefsabouttheroleofself-learningintheirstudents'education.Somebelievethatstudentsshouldbetaughthowtolearn,whileothersemphasizetheimportanceofprovidingstudentswiththenecessaryresourcesandsupporttobecomeindependentlearners.Thebeliefthatstudentsneedguidanceandstructurewhenlearningnewconceptsisprevalentamongmanyeducators.Practice:Despitethesebeliefs,therearestillgapsintheactualpracticeofhighschoolEnglishteachersinfosteringstudents'self-learningcapabilities.Forinstance,someteachersmayfocustoomuchongrammarandvocabularywithoutadequatelyaddressingthecognitiveprocessesinvolvedinlearning.Othersmaylackthenecessarytimeandresourcestoimplementmorestudent-centeredapproaches.Additionally,thereisalackofconsistencyinimplementingeffectivestrategiesacrossdifferentclassesorschools.Methodology:ToinvestigatetheteachingbeliefsandpracticesofhighschoolEnglishteachers,thisstudyemployedamixed-methodsapproach.Firstly,asurveywasconductedamongarepresentativesampleofhighschoolEnglishteacherstocollectdataontheirbeliefsandpracticesregardingself-learning.Secondly,semi-structuredinterviewswereconductedwithselectedteacherstogaindeeperinsightsintotheirperspectivesandexperiences.Finally,classroomobservationswereconductedtoassesstheeffectivenessoftheimplementedteachingstrategies.Findings:Thesurveyresultsrevealedthatmostteachersrecognizetheimportanceofdevelopingstudents'self-learningskillsbutstrugglewithfindingsuitablemethodstoimplementthem.Theyacknowledgedtheneedformoresupportfromboththemselvesandtheschooladministrationinadoptingmorestudent-centeredapproaches.Interviewsrevealedthatteachersgenerallybelievedthatstudentsneededguidanceandfeedbacktoimprovetheirlearningoutcomes.However,theyalsoexpressedconcernsaboutthelimitedresourcesavailabletoimplementsuchstrategieseffectively.Classroomobservationsindicatedthatwhilesometeacherssuccessfullyincorporatedstudent-centeredactivitiesintotheirlessons,othersstruggledtobalancetheneedforstructuredinstructionwiththedesireforgreaterstudentengagement.Conclusion:Thefindingsofthisstudyhighlightthecomplexitiesinvolvedinfosteringstudents'self-learningcapabilitiesthroughthelensofhighschoolEnglishteaching.Whileteachersholdpositivebeliefsaboutthebenefitsofself-learning,practicalimplementationremainschallengingduetovariousconstraints.Toovercomethesechallenges,itisessentialforeducatorstocollaboratecloselywithparents,administrators,andotherstakeholderstocreateasupportivelearningenvironmentthatencouragesstudentstobecomelifelonglearners.Additionally,continuousprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesshouldbeprovidedforteacherstostayupdatedonbestpracticesinfosteringself-learningcapabilities.Byembracingamultifacetedapproachthatcombinessupportiveinstructionalstrategies,student-centeredlearningenvironments,andongoingprofessionaldevelopment,highschoolEnglishteacherscanplayasignificantroleinnurturingstudents'self-learningcapabilitiesandpreparingthemforsuccessintheirfutureendeavors.Inconclusion,thestudyhighlightstheimportanceofself-learningcapabilitiesintoday'sglobalizedworld.Whileteachersholdpositivebeliefsaboutthebenefitsofself-learning,practicalimplementationremainschallengingduetovariousconstraints.Toovercomethesechallenges,itisessentialforeducatorstocollaboratecloselywithparents,administrators,andotherstakeholderstocreateasupportivelearningenvironmentthatencouragesstudentstobecomelifelonglearners.Additionally,continuousprofessionaldevelopmentopportunitiesshouldbeprovidedforteacherstostayupdatedonbestpracticesinfosteringself-learningcapabilities.Byembracingamultifacetedapproachthatcombiness
