主题意义引领下高中英语阅读教学提升学生思维品质的行动研究Abstract:Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheeffectivenessofthematicmeaning-guidedhighschoolEnglishreadingteachinginenhancingstudents'thinkingquality.Byadoptingacombinationofqualitativeandquantitativeresearchmethods,weexplorethecorrelationbetweenthematicmeaningunderstandingandstudents'criticalthinkingskills,aswellastheiroverallcognitivedevelopment.Theresultsindicatethatthroughthematicmeaning-guidedreading,studentscanbettercomprehendthetexts,developtheircriticalthinkingabilities,andenhancetheiroverallcognitivecompetence.Introduction:Inrecentyears,therehasbeenincreasingrecognitionoftheimportanceofreadinginstudents'learninganddevelopment.Asoneofthemostimportantmeansofknowledgeacquisition,readingplaysacrucialroleinpromotingstudents'cognitivegrowthandcultivatingtheirthinkingabilities.However,traditionalhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingoftenfocusesonvocabularyandgrammar,neglectingtheimportanceofthemeunderstandingandcriticalthinking.Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheimpactofthematicmeaning-guidedhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingonenhancingstudents'thinkingquality.Methodology:Toachieveourgoal,weconductedamixed-methodsactionresearchstudy.Firstly,weselectedagroupofhighschoolstudentsfromdifferentgradesandlevelsofreadingabilityasparticipants.Then,wedesignedaseriesofreadingmaterialswithclearthemesandcorrespondingquestionstoguidestudents'readingandthinking.Duringthereadingprocess,weprovidedstudentswithfeedbackandguidancetohelpthemunderstandthethemesanddeepentheirunderstandingofthetext.Afterreading,weconductedapost-readingdiscussionandquestioningsessiontoencouragestudentstothinkdeeplyaboutthethemesandtheirimplications.Finally,wecollecteddatathroughquestionnaires,interviews,andobservationalrecordstoanalyzetheimpactofthematicmeaning-guidedreadingonstudents'thinkingquality.Results:Theresultsofourstudyshowedthatthematicmeaning-guidedhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingcaneffectivelyenhancestudents'thinkingquality.Firstly,throughthematicmeaningunderstanding,studentscanbettercomprehendthetexts,whichisconducivetoimprovingtheirreadingcomprehensionability.Secondly,throughcriticalthinking,studentscanbetteranalyzeandevaluatethethemesandtheirimplications,whichisbeneficialtotheirlogicalthinkingandproblem-solvingabilities.Thirdly,throughthematicmeaning-guidedreading,studentscanbetterdeveloptheircriticalthinkingabilities,suchasanalyzingtheauthor'sperspectives,evaluatingthetexts'value,andreflectingontheirownbeliefsandvalues.Finally,throughthematicmeaning-guidedreading,studentscanbetterenhancetheiroverallcognitivecompetence,includingtheirmemory,attention,andcreativity.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thematicmeaning-guidedhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingisaneffectivewaytoenhancestudents'thinkingquality.Byprovidingstudentswithclearthemesandcorrespondingquestions,guidingtheirreadingandthinkingprocesses,andencouragingthemtothinkdeeplyaboutthethemesandtheirimplications,wecanhelpstudentsimprovetheirreadingcomprehensionability,logicalthinkingandproblem-solvingabilities,criticalthinkingabilities,andoverallcognitivecompetence.Therefore,itisnecessaryforteacherstopaymoreattentiontothematicmeaning-guidedreadinginhighschoolEnglishteachingandprovidestudentswithmoreopportunitiestopracticeanddeveloptheirthinkingabilities.Inconclusion,thematicmeaning-guidedhighschoolEnglishreadingteachingisaneffectivewaytoenhancestudents'thinkingquality.Byprovidingstudentswithclearthemesandcorrespondingquestions,guidingtheirreadingandthinkingprocesses,andencouragingthemtothinkdeeplyaboutthethemesandtheirimplications,wecanhelpstudentsimprovetheirreadingcomprehensionability,logicalthinkingandproblem-solvingabilities,criticalthinkingabilities,andoverallcognitivecompetence.Therefore,itisnecessaryforteacherstopaymoreattentiontothematicmeaning-guidedreadinginhighschoolEnglishteachingandprovidestudentswithmoreopportunitiestopracticeanddeveloptheirthinkingabilities.Throughthisstudy,wehavegainedadeeperunderstandingoftheimportanceofthemeunderstandingandcriticalthinkinginenhancingstudents'thinkingquality.Wehopethatourfindingswillinspireeducatorstoadoptmoreinnovativeteachingmetho
