高中英语阅读教学中文化教学现状的调查研究Abstract:ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatethecurrentstatusofculturalteachinginhighschoolEnglishreadingclasses.Theresearchmethodologyemployedisacombinationofquantitativeandqualitativeapproaches,includingsurveys,interviews,andclassroomobservations.Thefindingsrevealthatwhilethereisanincreasingemphasisonculturalcontentintextbooksandcurricula,thereisasignificantgapbetweenwhatistaughtandwhatislearned.Studentsoftenstruggletoconnectculturalknowledgewiththeirownexperiencesandvalues,leadingtoalackofappreciationfordiversecultures.Thestudyalsohighlightstheneedformoreexperientiallearningopportunities,suchasfieldtripsandculturalexchangeprograms,toenhancestudents'understandingandappreciationofdifferentcultures.Theimplicationsofthesefindingsforeducators,policymakers,andcurriculumdevelopersarediscussed,emphasizingtheimportanceofintegratingculturalteachingintotheEnglishreadingcurriculumtofosteramoreglobalizedandempatheticsociety.Introduction:Asglobalizationcontinuestoshapeourworld,itisincreasinglyimportantforyoungpeopletohaveastrongfoundationinculturalawarenessandunderstanding.Thisisparticularlytrueinthecontextofeducation,whereculturalcompetenceisseenasessentialforsuccessinbothpersonalandprofessionallife.Inthisstudy,weaimtoexplorethecurrentstateofculturalteachinginhighschoolEnglishreadingclasses.Byexaminingthevariousapproachestakenbyteachersandthechallengesfacedbystudents,weseektoidentifyareasforimprovementandproposestrategiesforenhancingculturaleducation.Methodology:Toachieveourobjectives,weemployedamixed-methodsapproachthatcombinesbothquantitativeandqualitativedatacollectiontechniques.Weconductedsurveystocollectinformationaboutthefrequencyandnatureofculturalcontentintextbooksandcurricula,aswellastheattitudesandperceptionsofteachersandstudentstowardsculturaleducation.Wealsoconductedsemi-structuredinterviewswithteachersandstudentstogaindeeperinsightsintotheirexperiencesandperspectives.Finally,weconductedclassroomobservationstoassesstheeffectivenessofvariousteachingstrategiesandpractices.Findings:OurfindingsindicatethatwhilethereisagrowingrecognitionoftheimportanceofculturaleducationinhighschoolEnglishreadingclasses,thereisstillmuchroomforimprovement.Ontheonehand,manyteachersrecognizethevalueofincorporatingculturalcontentintotheirlessons,buttheystruggletofindeffectivewaystodoso.Theyoftenrelyontraditionaltextualanalysisandvocabularyexercises,whichmaynoteffectivelyengagestudentsorpromotecross-culturalunderstanding.Ontheotherhand,studentsexpressadesireformoreexperientiallearningopportunities,suchasfieldtripsandculturalexchangeprograms,whichwouldhelpthemdevelopadeeperappreciationfordifferentcultures.Implications:Theimplicationsofthesefindingsforeducators,policymakers,andcurriculumdevelopersareclear.Toaddressthegapbetweenwhatistaughtandwhatislearned,itisessentialtoadoptamoreholisticapproachtoculturaleducationthatincorporatesboththeoreticalandpracticalcomponents.Thiscouldinvolvedevelopingnewteachingmaterialsthatfocusonreal-lifeexamplesandencouragecriticalthinkingaboutculturalissues.Itcouldalsoinvolvecreatingmoreopportunitiesforstudentstoengagewithdiverseculturesthroughlanguageexchangeprograms,volunteerwork,andotherformsofexperientiallearning.Additionally,policymakersshouldconsiderrevisingeducationalstandardsandguidelinestoprioritizeculturaleducationandsupportthedevelopmentofeffectiveteachingpractices.Conclusion:Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofculturalteachinginhighschoolEnglishreadingclassesisfarfromideal.Whilethereisagrowingrecognitionoftheimportanceofculturaleducation,therearestillsignificantgapsinthewayitistaughtandperceived.Byadoptingamoreholisticandexperientialapproachtoculturaleducation,wecanhelpstudentsdevelopadeeperunderstandingandappreciationfordifferentcultures,andultimatelycontributetoamorecohesiveandempatheticglobalcommunity.Inconclusion,thecurrentstateofculturalteachinginhighschoolEnglishreadingclassesisfarfromideal.Whilethereisagrowingrecognitionoftheimportanceofculturaleducation,therearestillsignificantgapsinthewayitistaughtandperceived.Byadoptingamoreholisticandexperientialapproachtoculturaleducation,wecanhelpstudentsdevelopadeeperunderstandingandappreciationfordifferentcultures,andultimatelycontributetoamorecohesiveandempatheticglobalcommunity.Furtherresearchshouldfocusonidentifyingeffectivestrategiesforintegratingculturalcontentintothecurriculumandpromotingcross-culturalcommunicationamongstudents.Additionally,educatorsandpolicymakersshouldcollaboratetocreatesupportiveenvironmentsthatencouragestudentsto
