1、Adjustment Procedure for XRD-6000,Shimadzu Corporation Analytical & Measuring Instruments Division Surface Analysis Business Unit Sales Promotion Department June/2002,1. Turn on the XRD-6000 main unit and computer,Then Main window appears on the screen (Normally automatically opened when turn on the
2、 computer. If not opened, then double-click “XRD-6000” icon on the desktop),3. Click “Display & Setup” icon,4. Then following window is appeared.,5. Confirm that door alarm button turns “red” when door is opened. And click “close” button.,6. Then small window appears and ask to calibrate the goniome
3、ter.,7. Click “OK” button. Then goniometer goes to “zero” position automatically. Then ready for adjustment.,8. Confirm that goniometer is stopped at “zero” position.,9. Double-Click “xdbinProSv” file to start this program.,10. Then “Right Gonio System: Optical Adjustment Program (2)” window is appe
4、ared.,11. Select “Lower Range” of Adjust Button.,12. Set slits and Setting Jig on the Goniometer as stated in the window,DS=0.05mm Setting Jig RS=Nothing,13. Click “Start” button. After getting peak, then Result window is appeared.,14. Click “Upper” button. After getting peak then Result window is a
5、ppeared.,Right,Left,15. If the deference between both value are not within 5% of each, then adjust the goniometer height by turning wrench as shown in this picture.,16. Try “Lower Range” and “Upper Range” again till the difference become within 5% of each value.,17. Select “2-theta” of Adjust Button
6、.,18. Set slits and remove Setting Jig on the Goniometer as stated in the window.,DS=0.05mm RS=0.15mm,19. Click “Start” button. After getting peak then result window is appeared.,20. Just click “OK” button.,21. Click “Right Gonio Service” icon,22. Select “Theta” of Adjust Button.,23. Set slits and S
7、etting jig on the goniometer as stated in the window.,DS=0.05mm Setting jig RS=0.15mm,24. Click “Start” button. After getting peak then Result window is appeared.,25. Click “OK” Button. And calibrate the goniometer by clicking “Calibration” button.,26. Select “HV” of Adjust Button.,27. Set slits and
8、 Si standard sample on the goniometer as stated in the window.,DS=1deg Si Standard SS=1deg RS=0.3mm,28. Click “Start” button. After getting peak then Result window is appeared.,29. Click “OK” Button.,30. Select “PHA” of Adjust Button.,31. Click “Start” button. After getting peak then Result window i
9、s appeared.,32. Click “OK” Button.,Daily Adjustment for the goniometer is required just following 2 theta Adjustment. (If you changed some optional sample holder such as Rotational Sample stage, Auto Sample Changer etc, then perform “Theta Adjustment” followed from 22 to 25 as well.),Daily Adjustmen
10、t for XRD-6000,33. Select “2 theta” of Adjust Button.,34. Set slits and remove Jig on the Goniometer as stated in the window,DS=0.05mm RS=0.15mm,35. Click “Start” button. After getting peak then Result window is appeared.,Right,Left,36. If the the peak angle is not less than 0.002deg, then adjust th
11、e goniometer height by turning wrench as shown in this picture.,37. Try “2 Theta Adjustment” again till the peak angle becomes less than 0.002 deg.,Procedure for checking goniometer performance,1. Click “Right Gonio Condition” icon,2. Click “file open” button then “File open” window is appeared. And
12、 select “Kensa” file.,3. Double click “Kensa Si28443” condition.,4. Then “Standard Condition Edit” window is opened.,5. Confirm the all parameters stated in the “Test report”,6. Click “OK” button then “File & Sample Condition Edit” window is appeared.,7. Click “New” button and close this window.,8.
13、Click “Right Gonio Analysis” icon,9. Select “Kensa Si28443” condition and click “Append” button. Repeat selecting appropriate conditions.,10. After selecting all conditions then click “Start” button.,11. Then these condition file are transferred to “Right Gonio System Analysis & spool Program” window.,12. Click “Start” button.,13. Then measurement start and displayed the data on the screen,14. Click “Basic Process” icon,15.Click “XRD Data” icon.,16. Drag and drop the measured data on the “Basic Process” window.,17. Set “System Error Correc
