Another advantage to the genre system is that it simplifies the operation of targeting certain audiences. Genres are also beneficial from the point of view of production: Since filmmakers already know the basic format of the genres with which they are working, they are more likely to produce an effective and profitable film. On a deeper level, genres can be viewed as
