Species and kinds of plants are rich in the Dagangshan in Jiangxi province, there are 1796 species of spermatophytes in the area, belong to 782 genera. Main floristic characters of the tropical genera in this flora can be summarized fundamentally as follows: The genera of Pantropic and Tropical Asia are dominant types and this flora is connected extensively with these floras of the tropic areas. The flora is very rich in ancient and relic plants as well as in the species of the rare and imminent extinction plants. The floristic elements are converged and transited from south to north. The geological distribution patterns and their floristic characters of Jiangxi Dagangshan were primarily analyzed. The study indicates that the Dagangshan has a typical subtropical flora and is characteristic of floristic transition from tropical to temperate composition. The flora, which possesses lots of relic, archaic, primitive and endemic elements of the Cathaysian flora, must be indigenous to the south China platform.
