How many pencils do you have?清华大学英语系测试:为中小学生英语量身定做.官方网站:/ 清华大学英语教授研究组提供浅析小学英语课堂教学中多媒体的运用【作 者】洛阳市栾川县石庙镇观星小学教师万保成【内容提要】:多媒体教学给传统的小学英语教学增添了无穷的魅力。然而,如果过多地运用多媒体教学,就会喧宾夺主,违背了多媒体“辅助”教学的宗旨,使课堂教学流于形式。如何在英语课堂中恰如其分地使用好多媒体呢?本文就此,从分析小学英语课堂教学中多媒体的恰当运用入手,结合自己在教学实践中的感悟,旨在探索信息技术与课堂教学的有效整合以及优化课堂教学的有效途径。【关 键 词】:英语课堂教学;多媒体运用;恰当运用 众所周知,小学英语是一门特殊的语言学科。要掌握好这门语言,不但要有习得这门语言的自然环境,而且要结合学生的心理特点等进行教学。传统的教学不容易做到这一点,而多媒体教学恰恰弥补了课堂教学不足,给传统的小学英语教学增添了无穷的魅力。然而,如果过多地运用多媒体教学,就会喧宾夺主,违背了多媒体“辅助”教学的宗旨,使课堂教学流于形式。那么,如何在英语课堂中恰如其分地使用好多媒体呢?本文就此,从分析小学英语课堂教学中多媒体的恰当运用入手,结合自己在教学实践中的感悟,旨在探索信息技术与课堂教学的有效整合以及优化课堂教学的有效途径。一、多媒体在小学英语课堂教学中的恰当运用。1、激发兴趣,营造学习氛围。布鲁纳说过:“学习最好的刺激是对所学材料的兴趣”,兴趣是学习知识的动力。小学生年龄小,注意力容易分散,而信息技术正具有形象性、色彩鲜艳、图象逼真、视听结合等特点,能吸引学生注意、激发兴趣,营造轻松的氛围。以小学英语(北师大版)第9册Unit3的Did you know?这一部分为例,虽然所给材料中生词较多, The Olympic symbol of five colored rings was created in 1913,但是在课件中呈现的五环图等奥运相关图片可以有效帮助学生理解意思。又如在教授小学一年级英语时,学习颜色red, yellow, blue, green, black颜色单词及句型What color is it? 时,我让学生随着优美的风景欣赏进入上课状态,教师操作电脑呈现画面并讲解各地美丽的风景,让学生眼睛和大脑所感受到的都是五彩缤纷的颜色,沉醉于色彩美的氛围里。整个过程用不了几分钟,却能让学生的兴致昂然。有了兴趣,学生在学习新单词和句型时也会感到轻松愉悦。操练阶段,可利用电脑的界面转变快、容量大的特点,设计成“Guess”“Whats missing?” “Who is it?”各种合适的游戏来操练,操作既快又反馈及时。当然,针对每节课不同的内容,我会不断变换多媒体的使用方式和使用时间等,充分利用多媒体的优势,使多媒体真正为教学服务。我认为,如果只是利用多媒体代替板书、省去书写,那多媒体并不能完全起到营造氛围的作用。2、创设情境,突破教学难点。建构主义认为,知识不是通过教师传授得到的,而是通过学习者在一定的情境下,借助其他帮助,利用学习资源,通过意义建构的方式获得。我在教学实践中发现,利用多媒体集图、文、声、像、动为一体,创设愉快的语言学习情境,可以有效地帮助学生在情境中感知语言并运用语言,提高了课堂教学的实效性。以北师大版小学英语第7册为例,在学习spring, summer, summer, winter有关四季的单词时,我通过多媒体将春、夏、秋、冬,四季优美的画面和情节呈现:春天新发芽的柳枝、夏天孩子们快乐戏水、秋天枯黄的落叶、冬天有趣的堆雪人。通过电脑呈现的这些情景,我发现学生的注意力被吸引了。学习内容也简单明了的呈现眼前。在学生身心投入时,教师通过循循善诱的导入,学生单词记忆效率会提高很多。又如,在一年级英语教学中,“pizza”(比萨饼)这个词语,是一种西方食物,而对于农村学生来说,对此并没有感性的认识,理解起来比较困难,把食品带入课堂又不太方便。此时,我利用电脑课件,问题便迎刃而解,并达到事半功倍的效果。我设计的课件内容为:音乐声中,“pizza”出现在屏幕上,面粉、奶酪、鸡蛋、火腿、黄油先后跳出来,分解了“pizza”,彻底了解 “pizza”的构成。之后,原料变成了会跳舞的卡通形象,又跳回到了“pizza”里,同时播放“pizza”的读音。真实的情景创设,大大激发了学生的兴趣,同时辅助教师突破了教学难点。当然,多媒体特有的功能也要被合理的利用才能发挥其最佳效果。课前教师必须结合授课内容精心设计每个细小环节,包括图片、文字、声音的先后等,考虑知识的规律性,这样才能更好地突破课堂难点内容。3、设计交际性活动,实现语言互动性。英语教学的最终目的是培养学生综合运用语言的交际能力。所以,在日常英语课堂教学活动中,我会尽力围绕这一目标来设计、开展一些交际性活动,实现语言的互动性。而多媒体的恰当运用,让教师在有限的时间内大幅度增加学生实践,操练的机会,扩大学生的活动面。以北师大版第7册unit 2为例,在学习日常交际用语What did he do yesterday? 时,以往教学往往只局限于小组间询问,口语交际空间受到局限。于是我利用多媒体辅助教学来弥补这一缺陷。我先后呈现了录像:Miss Qus day.(老师的一天) 图片:姚明的一天,某某同学的一天。学生们根据录像和图片分别进行提问和回答,在不同情境中体验语言、运用语言,培养了学生语言运用的综合性和灵活性。由此可见,多媒体让教师在有限的时间内大幅度增加学生实践,操练的机会,扩大学生的活动面。利用多媒体创设出具体的训练情景,使学生更好地感受和体验情景。4、扩大课堂容量,培养跨文化意识。语言有丰富的文化内涵。在英语教学中,英语国家的历史地理、风土人情、生活方式等文化意识的渗透,有益于英语的理解和使用,有益于培养世界意识。因此,如何为学生提供大量的文化背景知识,成为教师在英语教学中的一个难题。而在互联网的教育网站里有着此方面的大量信息,解决了英语老师的困难。比如在第9册英语中,学习“Halloween”(万圣节)一词时。课前,我就从教育资源网中找到了相关的节日图片、视频和背景文字材料。然后,我把其整理、加工,并融入到我自己的课堂设计中来。上课时,学生们通过多媒体课件,对西方的这一节日了解的很全面,接受起来也很快。英语国家的文化背景知识的掌握,大大提高了语言学习的效率,培养了学生的跨文化意识。一节课的时间是有限的,然而知识是无限的,学生的大脑能量更是无限的。不断的教学实践中,我发现,多媒体课件中不同的画面或动画所展现的内容能牵动学生的视线,并能快速把学生的大脑思维打开,课堂中不但节约了很多时间,还能让老师为学生扩充更丰富的课外知识。二、反思多媒体在英语课堂教学中的运用。反思自己的英语课堂教学,我发现在多媒体辅助教学过程中,还存在着不足以及值得思考的地方。反思一:多媒体课件过于“花哨”。为了上好英语课,我在课件制作上会下一番功夫,精美的图片,动听的歌曲以及吸引人的动画等。但是在实际上课操作时,我却发现,有时精心制作的课件却派不上用场,还分散了学生的注意力。其实,仔细想想,课堂上教师是主导,因此教师应把自身的风格融入到多媒体课件制作中,让学生易于接受,简明流畅,不刻意追求花哨。如果因为使用了多媒体,把原本简明的内容搞得复杂,只能使学生满头雾水,不知所措,也就背离了多媒体辅助教学的本意。反思二:多媒体的使用越多越好。“为了体现教学手段的现代化,在一堂课中尽可能多地使用多媒体”这是我和一些英语老师的最初看法,但是这个观点是经不起实践检验的。不断地教学实践中,我们不难发现,刻意地追求现代化,过多地使用多媒体,会把英语课变成多媒体课件展示课,教师就成了“放映员”,课堂效果相对较差。一会用PowerPoint 展示这个片段,一会又用flash来呈现某个环节,令人眼花缭乱。虽然学生表上兴趣很浓,但事实上,学生在这样的课堂上的无意注意过多,非语言教学信息的干扰过大,导致学生学习效果较差。因此,我认为只有针对不同的教学内容和教学环节来恰当使用多媒体,才能发挥其积极的作用。如,在英语课堂故事呈现环节,使用多媒体可以相对多一些,其它环节则少用或不用。如,课前五分钟的师生口头交流,是学生听说训练的很好方式,是多媒体不可替代的。当然,无论在哪个环节使用,教师都要因地制宜,有明确的目标和使用目的。 反思三:忽视常规教学媒体和手段。多媒体辅助教学手段,在英语课堂教学中所起的作用是传统教学媒体不可替代的,但并不是说,多媒体可以替代其他一切教学媒体。如:黑板、录音机、教学挂图、实物、简笔画等在教学过程中的作用是不可忽略的。而且在课堂教学中,我发现优秀的板书不仅精炼,而且能起到画龙点睛的作用。教师可以根据学生提出的疑问随时调整板书内容。如果用多媒体屏幕完全代替黑板,就会影响学生视觉感知的一贯性,影响学生对课堂学习重点、难点的把握。关于小学英语课堂教学中多媒体的运用,仁者见仁,智者见智,形式丰富而又灵活多变。我们应该正确把握使用计算机多媒体的量与度,充分发挥其在创设英语情境、营造英语氛围、提供交际平台、扩大课堂容量等方面的优势。同时避免一味地依赖于计算机多媒体,而忽视了一些常规的手段。不断探索,不断反思,我相信最终会实现计算机多媒体与传统课堂教学的完美整合。参考文献:1、将动漫作品引进课堂的实践(中小学外语教学2010.01北京师范大学出版社)2、英语课程标准解读北京师范大学出版社3、英语课程标准北京师范大学出版社4、运用多媒体优化小学英语课堂教学金娜清华大学英语系测试:为中小学生英语量身定做.官方网站:/ 清华大学英语教授研究组提供小学三年级第一学期英语期终模拟试卷2班级 姓名 听力部分:40%一 Listen and choose the sentence you hear:10% (听录音,选出你听到的句子。)( ) 1.
