服装专业特点决定了服装英语词汇会涉及各个领域，包括设计、工艺、结构、款式、面料、风格等，每个领域的词汇都具有不同的特点和用法。(II)一些词汇和日常生活词汇有密切关系

很多服装词汇来自于日常生活，并可能经过变化拓展到服装专业词汇中。例如：“grade”原意为“年级”、“级别”等，专业中延伸为“推板”。(III)词汇用法灵活

很多词汇名词和动词形式一样，如grade可表达推板的名词和动词含义，而grading则表达“推板工艺”。I.服装专业英语的特点Introduction绪论(I)掌握服装常用的专业词汇和专业术语；(II)达到一定程度的服装英语阅读和翻译能力，并且语言通顺，涵义表达准确；(III)具有一定的服装英语听说能力。II.服装专业英语学习要求Introduction绪论(I)Garment

Garment是对成品服装的泛称。它是可数名词，既可以是服装的总称，也可以表达某一类服装或者具体服装。另外，garment还可以用来描绘其它事物来表达喻义。(II)Clothing

Clothing在生活中常用来表示穿在身上的服装，它是不可数名词，当表示一件衣服时，可以用anarticleof或apieceof。Clothing也可以表示某类服装或者服装总称，当表示总称时常可译为“制衣”。III.英语中常见的服装称呼Introduction绪论(III)Clothes

Clothes指具体的服装而非抽象的概念，在生活中指一件件服装，只有复数形式。Clothes也可以指某类服装、某种特殊服装。(IV)Apparel

Apparel指商店里出售的服装或某类正式服装，是不可数名词。做服装总称时常译为“成衣”。III.英语中常见的服装称呼Introduction绪论(V)Costume

Costume指戏剧服装、演出服、古装等，尤指具有特殊外观特征服装，是可数名词。(VI)

Attire是不可数名词，译为着装，装扮等，常指风格独特或是体面讲究、华丽的服装。(VII)Dress

Dress做可数名词，指妇女和儿童的服装，尤其指女连衣裙。做不可数名词时，可以表示衣服、穿着，尤指外衣、礼服。Dress可做动词，表示穿衣。III.英语中常见的服装称呼Introduction绪论(VIII)Fashion

本课程内容包含4章8个单元。每个单元包含热身（warming-up）、阅读（Reading）、听力（Listening）、对话练习（SpeakingPractice）和写作（Writing）5个部分。每单元建议授课6学时，共计48学时。第1章是时装演变篇，包含第1单元内容，讲述西方二十世纪时装发展历史、具有影响力的设计师、30年代的魅力晚装等相关知识；第2章是服装生产技术篇，包含第2、3、4单元内容，讲述服装生产用料、服装面料品种、成衣生产概述、排料、铺布和裁剪、缝纫机类型、制版术语、女裤制版和体型分析等相关知识；第3章是设计预测篇，包含第5、6单元内容，讲述服装设计基础、服装设计影响因素、构思面料主题、流行趋势术语、色彩预测等相关知识；第4章是市场就业篇，包含第7、8单元内容，讲述高级定制和成衣、全球服装市场、时装营销、时装职业选择、时装买手、服装职业的优势和劣势等相关知识。课程章节
