1.租房场景 首先辨别是租房还是买房。For lease, for rent 出租与for sale 出卖房子的类型有：公寓flat, apartment, 学生宿舍dormitory (dorm) , 学生旅店student hostel, 青年旅店youth hostel ，还有一种叫留宿当地居民家里homestay. 一般房子有的家电或设施有： 炉子stove, 冰箱fridge, 微波炉microwave oven, 洗衣机washing machine, 空调air-conditioner, 电风扇electric fan, 冷却器电暖炉radiator, 电炉electric stoves ， 床上用品及其他物品有：枕头pillow, 枕套和被单pillow case and bed linen, 被单被褥 sheet, 床垫mattress, 毯子blanket, towel手巾毛巾， 窗帘curtain，地毯carpet房子位置：Road(Rd.), Street(St.), lane小路巷, Avenue 大道门厅的叫法：hall, lobby, porch 阳台balcony，睡房bedroom, 厨房kitchen,租房的规律为： 离市中心越近，房价越高，位置稍偏，价钱会比较有吸引力;但便宜的房子一般有不理想的地方： not near the center, not near the railway station, far from the bus stop, near the airport, noisy, shared kitchen, insects, a stranger in the next bed, have no privacy, have to prepare some repellant令人厌烦 ,insects haunting. 闹昆虫电话询问看房子常用语： Is it available now? when will it be available?.() Is there a telephone? How far is it from.? Is it furnished? What is the rental price? How is it cooled /heated? Furnished：意为配备了家具。 2.课外研究场景. 主要是在课外研究一些小的项目，小的调查研究，包括对学校里各个地方，食品(咖啡，小吃)等的价格的比较，这些看似不屑一顾的东西，个人认为，这也是与文化背景有关系的，外国人注重人的实践能力，从小培训。听时特别关注的是人名，并注意先判断男女，以及各自的观点。 素食者vegetarian，馅饼pie，布丁果冻pudding，汤soup，咖啡coffee, 炸鱼和土豆片fish and chips, 油腻的greasy有时候让受访者谈论value for money, 看值不值得花这个钱，又或者谈论某计划应否开展。表支持的，同意的： Thats great！/ That would be of great help./Why not？Its of great benefit./ It would be your best guide.不同意的: I dont see any reason for that./I wouldnt recommend it.To be frank, avoid them./ Why? /Whys that?(部分场景详见后面10授课场景)3.图书馆场景. 主要考察情景和词汇catalogue(under titles/authors/subjects)目录reference stacks书库 library card/admission card借书卡date slip/deadline/date of expiry期限due应付费 overdue and pay a fine过期并交罚款renew续借 available可获得的out on loan借出的 closed reserved只读不借in circulation在书库里 out circulation借走了not for circulation不外借 held in the closed reserved 闭馆保存的classification分类 category种类 bibliography书目（籍者检索目录）periodical(magazines and journals)定期刊物return in time及时归还interlibrary service图书馆际服务open/closed shelves开架/闭架书库考点：作品名称，哪年出版，作者姓名，student card, library card，借出费用，几时到期，欠款多少等。4.地理场景 一般是司机，导游，BBC program介绍某个地方，城市的基本情况。多为表格题。主要包括： 名字，行政区划 人口，语言风土人情 好处，不利 吸引人之处 distance from nearest city, population, advantage/disadvantage注意转折词汇的运用：however, nevertheless, on the other hand 当地的education, main industry；climate/weather： wet and windy, cold and wet, rainy, cloudy. Shape： rectangle长方形5.选课场景： 涉及选课主要是对语言的选择： Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Mandarin(Standard Chinese), Cantonese, Spanish. French, German选择级别： fundamental/elementary , intermediate , advanced 选课的时间，日期。 Time and date申请人：applicant, enrolment admission office foreign student office, international student, oversea(s) student 6.新生报到会： 新生报到会，一般向新生介绍学校的设施，选课情况，学校的历史，如何注册，应该做什么，不应该做什么。 一般由Admission office的Counselor来向新生介绍。 新生入学及入学后大致过程register/enroll (登记、报到) 一般会到student union officeopening ceremony 开学典礼orientation meeting （介绍会）指学校综合情况 orientation week (初到校)适应周lecture（教师作的）讲演，报告tutorial （学生发言的）讨论课7.度假场景 度假地的选择，交通工具的选择，住处的选择(这部分与租房类似)make a reservation预定 confirm a reservation确认预定 book a room/table 预订房间/饭桌 cancel ones reservation取消预定 first come, first serve先到先服务原则（即不设预订服务）one-way ticket单程票 round-trip ticket往返票飞机里面的：VIP/first class头等舱 business class商务舱 economy class经济舱Express way 高速公路，express train 高速列车付帐check(美国)cheque(英) A.T.M自动取款机 cashier收银员loan贷款 draw/withdraw money提款 give the money in fives/tens换成五元或十元面额pin number/password/code密码 credit card信用卡 open a student account.开个学生帐户 check the present balance in my account. 查询我帐户余额apply for a personal loan. 申请个人贷款change pounds into dollars 把英镑兑换.成美元the current rate 汇率还有时常会考到银行的开放时间，一般是几点到几点？还有周末或许不同（注意）8.日程活动介绍场景 包括会议，节日，组织旅游等。 主要抓四类：when, where, what, why convention, conference (会议) 开场白经常由会议的president或者organizer进行自我介绍，然后介绍会议内容，还要介绍会议的会期多长，经常考的考点-这次是第几次会议。 要避免经典陷阱，即听力原文出现的并不是所需要的答案。 例1听到：This is my third time of the annual retailersconvention. Ive been here twice. 看到：How many conventions have already been held? 答案： 2 例2听到：This is my second year on campus? 看到：How many years has he been studying at this college? 答案：One year 例3听到：A：When will you send the equipment?B: Well , weve got a lot of work on at the moment.A: Well,say 25 June?B: Cant we put it later?A: The last date is July 1.
