facial expressions gestures body movements kisses thinking facial expressions happy friendly facial expressions angry facial expressions naughty facial expressions worried facial expressions sad facial expressions gestures gesture means we communicate and express by the movement and manners of our hands and fingers. in our daily life, every one makes gestures, but many gestures have distinct regional and cultural features. good sign gestures the” thumbs-up” the thumbs-up sign means good or good going in the u.s. and it also used for hitchhiking in america. however, in the eastern countries like bangladesh and other islamic countries, this gesture is a rude sign. victory sign gestures in the u.s., it stands for victory or peace. across the continent in england, the “v” is a rude challenge. “v” gesture ok sign gestures “o.k.“ gesture it means “fine“ or “yes.“1 it means zero. 2 3 4 it means money or coins. its a signal that you are insulting people. in the us in france in latin america in japan the finger beckoning in the u.s, its a sign to call people. in the oriental east like japan, it is a rude gesture. in singapore, curling the index finger signifies death. waving hand waving hand waving hand waving hand but south americans will run towards you instead of leaving when they see this gesture. in america, waving ones hand means goodbye. turn around ones ring people from english- speaking countries turn around their rings constantly to show nervousness or uneasiness . now people from taiwan and hong kong also have this gesture. but if people in the mainland of china act like this , they will be regarded they are showing off richness. i am full. in chinain america raise ones little finger 1 in china, raising ones little finger means bad or look down on somebody. 2 in japan, people raise their little fingers to express one is their lover. gestures are widely used in our daily life.we shake hands everyday to greet people,we use different guestures to show our feelings.such as this picture, it shows love to people. and this one and this kisses shakespeare says that a kiss is “a seal of love”. there are different kinds of kisses. for instance, there is the kisses of love. there is the maternal kiss of a mother on her child. there is the friendly kiss of two people who are meeting or are separating. there is the kiss that a king exacts from his conquered subjects. kiss the hand in england and france, when the man meet the woman who belongs to the upper class, he often kisses her lightly on her hand. showing respect kiss the cheek the left hands are not used at all. when people touch: people from english-speaking countries do not touch each other very much. if you touch an english person, you should say “sorry”. advice with so many conflicting meanings for each hand gesture, it is not safe to assume that you can use hand gestures to overcome the language barrier when you travel overseas. some travel guidebooks provide brief introductions of the cultures and social taboos of the respective countries. do inquire first before using hand gestures, having different meanings i
