Five-finger Teaching Plan 五指教学方案Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间:12分钟)1. (1)(通过对上一课1a的复习,强调怎样做才能成为绿色使者, 进一步增加学生的环保意识,同时也创造一种英语氛围。)T: Can you remember what we have learned in Section B?Ss:Yes. T: Can you remember Jane and Michael?Ss:Yes.(教师可以出示上一课 1a图片。)T: What are Jane and Michael doing?Ss:They are talking about how to be a greener person. T: What should they do?Ss:First, turn off the lights when leaving a room. T: What about the next?Ss:Walk or ride a bike instead of taking a bus or a taxi T: Very good, please go on. Ss:Take a cloth bag when we go shopping. T: Great. Its easier said than done. So take action from now on. (通过整体复习为学生复述课文打下基础。让部分学生听到他们没有学会的生词或句子,是知识的一种复现。)2. (学生小组讨论节约能源的各种方法,以旧带新,导入新课主题。)T: Its known that China is a big country. It has a large population. So we must not only protect our environment but also save energy, such as water, electricity, farmland. Now discuss this problem in pairs: What should we do to save energy? Do you understand?Ss: Yes. (学生分组讨论,鼓励学生说出日常所观察到的情况。)T: Well, Im sure you make up some new ideas to save energy, and now lets compare whose ideas are better and greener. Whos the volunteer? Please hands up!S1:Dont drive a car if you travel a short distance.S2:Write on both sides of the paper. S3:Dont use the things that can be used only once. S4:After we wash faces, we can use the used water to wash clothes or toilets. S5:Take a cloth bag when we go shopping. S6:Turn off the TV set while you are away. S7: (鼓励学生借助肢体语言、图画,尽可能地把想法表达出来,激发学生的热情,培养创造性。)T: Good ideas! Thank you, boys and girls! Which idea is better and greener? S8:I think S7s is better and greener. 3. (通过学生对节能环保知识的讨论,老师引出文中所讲的新环保事物,出示1a的挂图,导入新课内容,教授生词。)T: Look at the pictures. Maybe they are the new things that you havent known. They show us some forms of energy. Some of them may do less harm to our enviromment. Whats it in Picture a?Ss:Its a car. T: Is it strange and beautiful?Ss:Yes. T: Its an electric car. It works well, but its slow and cant run for long. (要求学生在字典中快速地查出1a中生词的意义,培养学生快速查阅字典的能力。)T: Take out your dictionary. Look up the new words in 1a as quickly as passible then get the proper meanings in the passage. (要求一个学生来读生词,说出它们的意思并让其他学生在书中相应位置标出汉语意思。)2. (让学生快速阅读课文1a中的2,判断下列句子正误。用幻灯片出示句子。)( ) Its good that people produce power from coal. ( ) Nuclear power is dangerous. So we cant use it. ( ) The car that used animal waste to run worked well. ( ) The electric cars can run a long distance. ( ) The Maglev Train can be used in most of China. ( ) In Wales water pushes the trains up and down the hill.3. (播放1a的录音,学生跟读,注意语音语调,训练学生读的能力并再次理解课文。)4. (学生再次阅读1a,找出疑难点后,鼓励其他学生作答。)T: Read 1a again, find out the key points you dont understand, then Ill ask the others to help you. (之后,要学生举手提出问题和回答问题。)S1:I dont know the meaning of this sentence“The water trains in Wales use water to up the hill.”T: Who can help S1? Please hands up S2.S2: (教师同时对重点内容给予讲解。)2. (要求学生阅读1a课文,并准备填写1b表格。明确读的任务,有助于提高阅读效率。)T: Look at the form in 1b. Read the passage again and fill in the form. (几分钟后。)T: Discuss the answers in your groups. Then answer my questions.(1) T: What are the advantages and disadvantages of coal? Ss: Cheap, dirty, dangerous.(2) T: What are the advantages and disadvantages of nuclear power? Ss: Dangerous and expensive.(3) T: What about animal waste? Ss: Cheap but smells terrible.(4) T: And electric car? Ss: Work well but can not run for long.(5) T: What are the advantages and disadvantages of Maglev Train? Ss: Quiet, fast, clean but too expensive.(6) T: What about the water trains? Ss: Very cheap but slow.(7) T: What is the main idea of this passage? Can you give a best title for this passage? Ss: Some different ways of producing power.2. (教师出示1a图片。)T: Now look at the pictures and the form on the blackboard, retell the passage. Step 4 Practice 第四步 练习(时间:10分钟)1. (小组讨论更多更新发电的方法,导入下文。)T: We know that people can produce electricity in many ways. Such as from coal or nuclear power. Even in the old days in England, people used animal waste to run a car. And there are electric cars in many countries. Maglev Train is used in Japan. The Water trains in Wales use water to push a train down a hill while pulling another train up the hill. Now who can tell us some other ways of producing electricity?S1: Using the sunlight to produce electricity. S2: Using wind to produce electricity in the deserts.S3: Using water in the sea to produce electricity.S4: 2. (教师出示2中的挂图,说出四幅图中采用四种方式发电的优点,并练习此部分完成2。)T: Now please look at the four pictures, match the pictures with the sentences. (让学生猜出movement的意思。)3. (要求学生在本课找出含有but, and, while的复合句并朗读。)(依照文中的句子,说出类似的句子。)T: Could you make sentences with them? Now, please have a try. (填写表格,让学生学会如何节约能源,更加合理地利用能源,以增强学生的环保意识。)T: Look at the form and think about things we should do every day and things we should not do to protect the environment, and what materials or waste things we can reuse, recycle and reduce.
