Learn some new words and expressions.(more, nothing, bowl, honest, secret, joy, special, sad, believe, magazine, good-looking, slim, have sth to drink, nothing else, have problems, share ones joy, musical etc.) and drills at the same time(Can I have sth to drink,please? Can I have some more food too? Theres nothing else in the fridge. What about the pizza in your bowl?) Ability aims: To generate ideas about peoples appearance and personalitiesTo categorize adjectives to describe important qualities of a friend according to personal preferences Emotion aims: Learn to how to make a true friend四、教学重点难点:To describe peoples appearance and personalities.五、教具:1.小黑板2. 多媒体六、教学过程:Step 1 Lead-in Get the class to enjoy a song named “Friends”Step 2 Presentatin:Ask them “Do you know the name of the song” When the students answer, Ill wite “Friends”on the Bb. “Everyone has friends. Why do we need friends? (Friends are important.We cant live in the world alone. Without friends well feel lonely.”) “Do you have friends? Yes. When you have problems , do they help you? So your friend is helpful.” Write on the Bb: have problems-help you-helpful You are sad- talk to you- make you happy You are happy-share your joy. Yes, you are quite right. Friends are important , they are helpful .When you meet sth sad, they will help you and make you happy, when you feel happy, they share your joy. I have two new friends, do you want to meet them. Look at the screen Here they are. They are my true friends. I believe his words because he is honest.He never tell lies. I would tell him everything because he can keep the secrects(learn the new words) Match the letters with the phrases. Ss read the questions and write the correct letters in the boxes.Tell them these are qualities of a good friend.Step 3 Practice: Ask the students: Are you honest? Are you an honest boy? Is your friend honest? Can he keep the secrects?OK, look at the Bb our friends can help me a lot. Do you have good friends? Can you say sth about him or her? What is he like?My best friend is He is tall and he has two big eyes. He is helpful.Step4 Presentation:We know friends are helpful, honest, they can keep secrects, make you happy , share your joy. What other qualities does your friend have?Can you tell me?Write down on the Bb: funny, clever, polite, clean and tidy. I like my friends because he is good at sth. Look , Mr Zhou, he is good at singing. He is musical. Look at another friend he is good-look. Money , apprearance are not important.Now lets look at my pets . Are they true friends?Listen and tell me. “Who is hungry? What does Eddie have?”Read the commic strip and answer: Does Hobo want sth to drink? What did Eddie give him?Whats in the bowl? Do you think Eddie would like share the pizza.?Step7 Listen and repeatListen and ask them to follow the tape.Ask the students to read and act it out.Step8 A gameWe all know friends are important to a personl but how to make a good friend.Thats very important. Now lets play a game “Look for my true friend” Get the students to come to the front and hit the eggs.Ask them “Do you want to make a friend with hm/her? Why or why not?”We need friends we want to make new friends.A good friend can help you, a bad friend can destroy you.So be careful to make new friends.Step9
