外研版八年级英语(下)Module 3全模块教案Content:Module 3 On the radio Junior 2, New standard English一、 题材内容本模块以广播为话题, 具体涉及对电台的简单介绍 收听广播和播音员的职业生活等。要求同学们通过学习本模块, 能够粗略了解播音节目的制作过程和播音员的生活,同时明白只有从小立志, 努力学习, 勇于实践, 才能实现理想, 实现人生价值。语法重点是动词的( to) + v. 或v.-ing 形式作宾语。通过操练,使学生在掌握语言结构的同时,既学习语言知识,感悟语言功能,又能了解广播知识。教学中教师应随时随地以与广播有关的知识吸引学生,灵活利用各种素材组织教学过程和内容。充分调动学生的积极性。教学目标1) 语言知识:语音能够了解连读规则。词汇win, newsreader, report, reporter, score, everybody, mention, prepare, goal, hate, ssh, explain, voice, seem, listener, weekly, article, microphone, glass, sound, check.词组look out for, Dont mention it. look down, ask for, close down.语法能够掌握宾语此句(2); 能掌握动词后接( to) + v. 或v.-ing 的形式功能能够提建议和警告;谈论回忆。话题以“广播”为话题。2) 语言技能:听能听懂简单的英文广播节目,抓住细节并进行推断。说能谈论自己收听广播节目的情况。读能读懂谈论个人过去经历的文章, 并抓住文章的中心思想;培养预测下文和评论文章的能力。进行简单的阅读技能训练。写能够写清楚过去经历的事,包括重要事件和背景铺垫。演示与表达 能说出自己收听广播的一些情况。3)学习策略学习一定程度形成自主学习,有效交际、信息处理、英语思维能力。认知联系,归纳,推测等技能。观察并归纳现在完成时的用法,提高自学能力。调控从同伴处得到反馈,对自己在叙述及作文中的错误进行修改交际学习运用恰当词语介绍有关广播的知识。资源通过广播这种途径获取更广泛的英语信息。自学策略能够根据自己的情况预习教材和拓展。了解记叙文的叙述方式:倒叙。合作学习策略能积极与他人合作,互相学习,取长补短,共同完成学习任务. 4)文化意识:中外对比了解中外传媒的发展历史,拓展知识面。5)情感态度:培养和强化学习兴趣, 参加各种英语活动,锻炼克服困难的意志, 通过不断努力,实现理想。6)任务:做一期校内广播节目。教学重点和难点 重点:1通过了解广播知识训练学生的听、说、读、写能力,掌握宾语此句(2); 能掌握动词后接( to) + v. 或v.-ing 的形式的用法。难点: 进一步掌握动词后接( to) + v. 或v.-ing 的形式的用法。教学方法基于课程改革的理念及“第二语言习得论”,培养实现人的可持续发展和人的主体精神的自我完善和发展所必需的能力和素质,运用任务型教学途径,围绕核心任务,设定小任务,开展和谐愉悦的课堂活动,强调兴趣第一的原则,初步设计“PTP”自主学习立体模式:pre-tasktask-cyclepost-task。二、 教材处理核心任务:能够收集有关资料,运用所学知识做一期校内广播节目。三个环节如下:pre-task:学生联系生活实际,激活背景知识,。task cycle:通过整个模块的听说读写的训练,强化介绍广播知识的表达能力,为完成任务做好铺垫post-task:达成任务,展示成果,反馈学习情况三、 教材安排根据学生学习英语的特点和规律,我们把本模块划分为4课时:Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary &Pronunciation and SpeakingPeriod 2: Reading and Vocabulary Period 3: Writing& Around the world &Module TaskPeriod 4: Language in use注:教学时应根据学生的学习水平、生活实际水平、接受程度及课堂出现的临时状况进行运用、调整及筛选。教学设计Title: Module 3 On the radio Period 1: Listening and Vocabulary &Pronunciation and SpeakingTeaching Content: Listening and Vocabulary and Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Aims and Demands:1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary and phrases: win, newsreader, report, reporter, score, everybody, mention, prepare, goal, hate, ssh , look out for, Dont mention it.Key structure: Verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v. (重点) 2, Listening skill: To get the specific and main information through listening to the conversations. (难点) 3.Speaking skill: To talk about ones own listening experience about the radio with the words learnt in this unit. 4. Attitudes: We should take an active part in the activities around us.Learning strategies:Bottom up approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises.Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I: Revision Task: Recall what we have learned in the last Module. Directions: Step one: Label the pictures with the phrases.(1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).Make some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can.Step two: Revise object clauses. Eg. I know (that) foreigners find China very different from their own countries. I dont know who will come. Ive heard that you play in the school orchestra. I asked your secretary whether she could come or not. Do you know if Sally Maxwell is here yet? Can you tell me where youre from? Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Part II: Lead in: Task : Introduce them to the new words.Directions:Step one: Introduce the new words of this unit. And list them on the board.Step two: Read after the teacher.Step three: Practise reading the words.Step four: Ask the students to look at the pictures. Elicit what they can see. If there are any new words, add them to the list on the board.Step five: Make some sentences using the new words from the whole class. Task: Introduction of worlds radio stationsPart III: Listening 1. Task: Match the radio programmes with the words in the box. in Activity 1on page 18. and then answer the questions in Activity 2on page 18. Directions:Step one: Read through the words in the box and have them repeat chorally and individually.Step two: Let the Ss talk about the words. Play the recording and have them listen to the recording and match the radio programmes with the words in the box. Step three: Read through the questions in Activity 2on page 18.and make sure the Ss understand them all. Play the recording again and have them answer the questions, then check with a partner.Step four: Then Call back the answer from the whole class.Step five: Play the recording again for the Ss to check and consolidate.2.Task: To understand conversations .Directions:Step one: Ask the Ss to look at the the questions in Activity 4 on page 19. Step two: Play the recording and have them listen.Step three: Play the recording again and have them answer the questions individually.Step four: Call back the answer from the whole class, having one student ask a question and another answer.3.Task: activity 5on page 19. Directions:Step one: Have them complete the passage with the correct form of the words in Activity 1 individually. Step two: Have them check their answers with a partner Step three: Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.4.Task: Language points. Directions:Step one:Let the students underline some difficult sentences.Step two: Discuss them with each other.Step three: The teacher can explain some of them.1. Wed like to thank you for taking us around Radio Beijing.(Unit 1, P18)(1) would like to do sth. “愿意做某事”, 如:I would like to speak a few words.我想讲几句话” (2) would like sth. “愿意要某东西”, 如:Would you like a cup of tea?Id like an apple. 我想吃个苹果(3) thank you for (doing) sth. “因为而感谢你” , 如:Thank you for your help感谢你帮忙Thank you for helping me. 感谢你帮忙2. Dont mention it. (Unit 1, P18) 在口语中回答别人感谢时常用,意思是“不客气,不用谢” , 如:-Thank you for your help.- Dont mention it. 3. Now, I want to answer your questions, but remember to look out for the red light. (Unit 1, P18)look out for 意思相当于pay attention to, “照料,当心”,如:Look out for your little sister while youre at the station.look“看”, 表示动作 see“看见, 了解, 领会”,表示结果, 如:He looked but saw nothing. 他看了, 但什么也没看见。I see. 我明白了由look组成的常见短语: look out“向外望,注意, 当心”, 如:“Look out!” somebody shouted. look like“看起来象”,如:She looks like her mother.look for“寻找”,如:She is looking for his new text book.look at“看”,如: Look at the blackboard, please.4. We decide what to listen to and who to see. (Unit 1, P18) decide 可用于结构:decide to do sth. “决定做某事”, 如:He decided to go himself.他决定亲自去。decide sth. “决定某事”, 如:The judge decided the case.法官判决了这个案件。decide +that 从句 “决定”, 如:She has decided that she will be a doctor.她已决定将来当个医生。注意做动词的宾语的特殊疑问词+动词不定式结构, 如:I dont know what to do.5. Me, too! (Unit 1, P18)Me, too!常用于口语中,表示自己的情形和对方所提及的一样,意思是“我也这样”, 如:-Sally has been to America.- Me, too!6. Some sports news about the England and China football match. (Unit 1, P18)news 是不可数名词, “一条新闻”不能说 a news, 而要说a piece of news news拓展的单词:newsreader新闻播报员newsboy“报童, 送报人” newsman“卖报人, 送报人; 新闻记者”news-writer“新闻记者”注意一条谚语:No news, good news. (=No news is good news.)没有消息, 就是好消息。7.We won the match! (Unit 1, P18) win赢了比赛,不能用于赢了某人.5 .Task: Listen and read: Directions:Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation.Step two: Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 7 to practise the dialogue. Step four: They should repeat it several times, changing the roles each time.Part IV: Pronunciation Task: Listen and say the linked sounds in Activity 6 Directions:Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen to the sentence in Activity 6.Step two: Ask the Ss to recite the sentence.Task 2: Ask and answer questions about the radio. Directions:Step one: Ask the Ss to get into pairs to do Activity 7.Step two: Ask the Ss to discuss their ideas with others.Step three: Circulate and monitor production. Part VI: A test Ask the Ss to do Ex 2 on page 104 and hand in immediately .Part VI: Homework: Recite the short dialogue as fluently as possible.Period 2 Reading and Vocabulary Teaching Content: Reading and Vocabulary Teaching Aims and Demands:1. Language knowledge:New words: explain, voice, seem, listener, weekly, article, microphone, glass, sound, check, look down, ask for, close down.Key structures: Verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v.It seemed that (重点)2.To understand the passage and analyse the order of the passage. (难点)3. Attitudes: We should have courage to challenge the new things.Learning strategies: Communicative approach.Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I: Revision1. Help students to revise what is learnt in Period one of this module.Show them some pictures about the new words in last period. Have the Ss. spell them chorally and individually.2. Translate some sentences into Chinese.Wed like you for taking us around Radio Beijing. Dont mention it. Everyone needs to speak English well. Heres where I work on Starsearch. We decide what to listen to and who to see. I hatelosing. Part II : PreparationTask 1 : Learn the new words.Directions: Label the pictures with the words.(1). Read through the words on the screen. Have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Read the words separately and have them remember them. (3).Make some sentences with the words. (4) Call back the answers from the whole class.Task 2: Talk about the pictureDirections:(1). Let the Ss look at the picture and discuss it with a partner.(2). Call back the answers from the whole class.Part III: Scanning and Skimming1.Task: Read the passage and answer the questions in Activity 2. Directions:Step one: The teacher ask the Ss to read the passage.Step two: Ss read the passage and answer the questions individually.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class.3. Task: Read the passage and decide where youre likely to read the passage Directions:Step one: First make sure the Ss understand what they should do. Ss read the passage and do activity 3 on page 21 individually and check with a partner.Step two: Call back the answers from the whole class, having individuals read out the answers.4. Task: Answer the questions about words and expressions in the box in Activity 4. Directions:Step one: Read through the sentences and make sure the Ss understand what they mean. Ss do activity 4 on page 21 individually and check with a partner.Step two: Call back the answers from the whole class.Part IV : Dealing with expressions: 1. And you want a job in radio? (Unit2, P20) 陈述句用升调读就变成了问句,这种问句称为陈述问句, 如:The train is in already?2. Shouldnt you be at school? (Unit2, P20)这是一个否定问句,带有惊讶情绪,这种问句还可以表示责难和赞赏, 如:-Why are you driving so fast? Dont you know the traffic regulations?-Arent these flowers beautiful?3. When I was about four or five years old, I remember sitting close to the radio in the living room, listening to my favourite programmes, and to the voices of my favourite presenters. (Unit2, P20) 在我四五岁的时候,我记得自己坐在客厅里的收音机旁, 听我喜欢的节目和喜欢的播音员的声音. remember doing sth. “记得做过某事”;remember to do sth. “记着去做某事” , 如:I remember seeing her once.我记得曾见过她一次。Remember to close the door when you leave. 你离开时记得关上门.sitting close to the radio in the living room, listening to my favourite programmes, and to the voices of my favourite presenters.在句中做状语,表示伴随情况.my favourite programmes, 和 the voices of my favourite presenters.并列作listening to的宾语, and后面省略了listening.close在这里是形容词,意思是“离得近,距离短” , 如:The table was close to the wall. 它还有“关上”的意思, 如: Close the door, please.4.It seemed that they were speaking to me in person. (Unit2, P20)It seemed that 表示“看起来似乎”的意思, 如:It seemed that he had no money with him.in person“亲自” , 如:He went to Beijing to receive the award in prison.5. Once a week, I played my favourite music from my fathers computer to the listeners, talked about life at school, and then closed down and did my homework. (Unit2, P20)Once a week “一周一次”,先说次数,再说一周,如:Once a week, I go to the cinema with my father.close down “关闭,停止”的意思, 如:The small shop on the corner has closed down.Most television and radio stations close down at 12:00 pm.6.One day I learnt about Internet radio. (Unit2, P20)learn about “听说”的意思, 如:I learn about the story of the town from my grandpa.7. Just tell me what you had for breakfast. (Unit2, P20)本句是祈使句, 还要注意宾语此句what you had for breakfast, 是疑问词+陈述句语序.Take back what you said, or I will be angry.Part V: Language use1. Activity 10 on page 106 in the WB.Direction: Ss do it by themselves .Lets see who can finish it as soon as possible. Then discuss in pairs and finally share their answers with the class. 2.Give the students some time to recall what theyve learned in this class.Part VI: Homework: Retell the text. Part VII: A test: Exercise 11 on page 146 in the WB.Period 3: Writing & Around the world &Module Task Teaching Content: Writing & Around the world &Module Task Teaching Aims and Demands:1.Writing skill: To write a short passage about an imaginary job experience. Improve the students writing ability (难点).2. To learn about the Clockwork Radio.3. To summarize and consolidate Verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v. (重点)4. Attitudes: We should have courage to challenge the new things.Learning strategiesTop-down and Interactive approach and do some exercises.Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder , video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I: Revision Task: Help students to revise what was learnt in last module. Directions:(1). Revise the words and phrases. (2).Put the Ss. in pairs to retell the text. Part II: Writing1. Task: Look at the sentences from the passage and classify them in Activity 5DirectionsStep One: Run through the sentences with the Ss. in Activity 5 and make sure that they understand them.Step two: Ask the Ss to classify them individually and check their answers with a friend.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class.Step four: Read them loudly.2. Task: To write a short passage about an imaginary job experience. DirectionsStep One: Give the example and make sure that they know what to do.Step two: Ask the Ss to complete the short passage about an imaginary job experience. Then exchange books for a peer check for language accuracy.Step three: Call back a few examples from the whole class.Step four: Then summarizePart III: Around the worldTask: Learn something about the Clockwork Radio.DirectionsStep One: Ask the Ss. to look at the different pictures about the Clockwork Radio.Tell the Ss. some knowledge about them.Step two: Read the text and answer any questions the Ss have.Part IV: Module Task Making a school radio programmeDirections:Step one. Read the instructions in Activity 10 and make sure that the understand them.Step two: Ask the Ss to get into groups of six.Step three: Give them time to plan their programme in class, and decide who is writing what.Step four: Then ask them to do the writing at home.Step five: We can record it or let the Ss present it “live” to the rest of the class.Part V: RecallingRecall what we have learned today.Part VI: A testDo Ex.5 on page 105 and hand in immediately.Part VII: Homework: Do the Self-assessment on page 111.
