FIRST AID MEASURES:Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Consult a physician. Skin: In case of contact, flush skin with plenty of soap and water while removing contaminated clothes and shoes. Consult a physician.Ingestion: If victim is conscious and alert, Rinse with water. Do NOT induce vomiting. NEVER give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Consult a physician.Inhalation: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Consult a physician.Notes to Physician: Treat symptomatically and supportively.5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES:General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent, and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion,Extinguishing Media: In case of fire use water spray to cool fire expose containers. Use water spray, dry chemical, Carbon dioxide, or appropriate foam. Use agent most appropriate to extinguish fire.Hazardous combustion productsHazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx), Hydrogen bromide gas.6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES: General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8. Spills/Leaks: Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Avoid generating dusty conditions. Provide ventilation. Place under an inert atmosphere. Do not let product enter drains. Discharges into the environment must be avoided.7. HANDLING AND STORAGE: Handling: Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with adequate ventilation. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. . Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Store protect from air. Handle under inert atmosphere.Storage: Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Do not expose to air. Store protected from moisture. Store under an inert atmosphere. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION: Engineering Controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and safety shower. Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.Exposure LimitsChemical NameACGIHNIOSH OSHA - Final PELsCetyl Trimethyl Ammonium BromideNone listedNone listed None listedOSHA Vacated PELs: Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide: No OSHA Vacated PELs are listed for this chemical.
