NSE Book 1 MODULE 10 Computers Unit 2 How often do you use a computer?王江泾镇实验学校 吴丽一、 教学内容: 本单元的话题是让学生了解一些电脑方面的知识及如何使用电脑。语法结构是一般现在时的特殊疑问句学习。词汇主要是与电脑有关的单词。上网是学生感兴趣的活动,借助这一话题展开讨论,通过讨论让学生掌握一般现在时特殊疑问句的结构与基本用法。二、教学目标: (一) 认知目标:熟练掌握有关电脑的词汇及用语,掌握一般现在时的用法,要求学生贴近生活,结合实际中的电脑的有关知识加以学习。 (二) 技能目标:要求学生能听懂有关电脑方面的简单词汇;听懂一般现在时的特殊疑问句;能就电脑的使用进行简单的问答;能读懂基本句序及问答;根据阅读内容能修改有错误信息的句子,并能用but连接句子;同时也能简单表述计算机的使用。所有这些要求学生多听,多说。多练,在练中加深理解。 (三) 情感目标:通过学习,要求学生提高学习电脑和英语的兴趣,促进学生适应时代的发展,进一步培养学生的良好情感,并顺势教育学生少打电脑游戏。三、教学知识重点 (一) 重点词汇:buy tickets, check train timetable, download music, get information, go online, make travel plans, send emails, use Internet, visit a website (二) 重点句型 1. Do you have a computer at home? 2. Do you often go online? 3. What do you usually do on your computer? 4. He checks the train timetable but he doesnt buy tickets.四、教学理念:任务型语言教学 以“电脑”这一话题为主线,采用任务型语言教学途径,兼顾交际功能和有关一般疑问句的语言知识结构的学习,以一种循序渐进的交际性的学习程序,引导学生学会运用这个语言知识有目的地做事情。五、教法学法 (一)充分利用学生已有知识和经验,创设生活化的真实情境和半真实情境,引导学生在运用语言中学习语言,然后在学习新的语言知识后创造性地运用语言。为用而学,在用中学,学了就用。 (二)开展各种任务型活动,给学生提供交流合作的空间和时间,促使学生为完成任务和同学进行合作,为完成任务进行探究学习。六、教学步骤:Step 1. Warming up 1) Good afternoon, everyone! We have learned something about the computer in Unit 1. Lets say something about the computer. Whats this? Its the printer. Then what can we do on the computer?(We can write our homework on the computer.)Do you know what else we can do on the computer?, (lead students to say “send emails, go online ”)2) Present the new phrases. (buy tickets ,check train timetable) Read after me. 3) Can you tell us something about you and the computer? What do you usually do on the computer? When students answer, I ask the other students to use “singular forms” to retell his/her word. As we know, many people like playing computer games. Some computer games are really exciting, but its not good for you to spend much time on computer games. 这一步的目的是复习Unit 1电脑的构成部分,由此引出在电脑上能够做什么除了在电脑上写作业以外,还有很多用途,这样就顺势把Activity 2做掉。然后进行学生活动,让学生把第一人称改为第三人称,为下面的活动做铺垫。Step 2. Reading and vocabulary 1) Do you want to know other people? Please open your books and turn to Page 62. Find the people and their places. You just find the italics (斜体字). Ask the students “How many people are there?” “Who are they?” Present the people and the countries on PowerPoint. Point out that 2000 Olympic Games was held in Athens and 2004 Olympic Games was held in Sydney. 告诉学生阅读技巧,快速浏览文章找到有效信息。 2) Now go through the passage again and do Activity 1. Ask students to check the answer. Present the answer on PowerPoint as students sayG A B C F H D E 第二遍读得细致点,找到问题所对应的回答。 3) Read the passage the third time. Do Activity 3. Ask students to correct the wrong sentences. Check the answer. 1 Satoshi doesnt send emails. () 2 Panos and Elena dont live in Australia. () 3 Jack doesnt play computer games. 4 Ng doesnt go online. () 5 Karl Heinz doesnt make travel plans. 6 Marcella and Bruno dont have a computer at home. 7 Becky doesnt have a computer. 8 Xiao Mei doesnt play computer games. () During the period, ask students some questions about the sentences. “Where do Panos and Elena live?” “Who lives in Australia?” “How many computers do Marcella and Bruno have?” Add the use of “but”. 第三遍更为深入,对其中的细节进行判断及描述,并引入下个活动的“but”。 4) Fill in the form. For example, Satoshi plays games and downloads music but he doesnt send emails. (Present this sentence on PowerPoint as an example.) Think for a moment. Are you ready? Ask some students to tell their answers. Pay attention to the singular forms. 到此为止,学生对文章应该有个整体认识,做这个填表题就顺理成章,水到渠成了。Step 3. Pair work 1) Tell your partner about your experience and the computer. Work in pairs. 2) Tell us about your partner. Use “singular forms”. 与第一个活动遥相呼应,在了解了别人之后,再介绍自己就更容易。Step4. Homework 1)Copy the new words in this unit. 2)Read the text to get more fluently. 3)Workbook.
