fuel o i l soot, definition resistance to colour change is the ability of an organic coating t o withstand changes i n colour when subjected to a fuel o i l soot environment, test pieces and number of test pieces the test piece biherever possible shall be the finished part,should size4 shape etc, o f the finished part be impracticable, then suitable aections taken from the part shall be used instead. when procedure t o 3.1 is impracticable, tests shall be conducted on specially prepared organic coated test panels or slabs. the test panels shall be (250 +- 5)mm x (100+- 5)mm x(1 +-0,z)mmand shall be made from sheet steel t o cj6 i010 zl or bc 1449:part 1:1972 cr 2/1 ff or cs 2/1 ff.the test slabs shall be of a euitable size and be made from the relevant substrate.the quality of the organic coating and its method of applicatio shall be as per current final finish procedures appropriate t o t h e envi- saged application of the material under test.the organic coating shall be i n accordance t o the relevant material specification, for details of current finishes see gme s 0001. 3.3for i n i t i a l sample approval and arbitration purposes, at least three test pieces, and for routine quality control at least one test piece shall be tested. 4.4.1conditioninq test pieces shall be tested immediately after conditioning t o gme 60 300-efor periods as defined below. gelagert der so behandelte pro ek rper uird uafgarecht i n den kliaraschrank gelegt, nach dieser auslagerung wird der probekrper m i t leitungswasser gewaschen und anschliebend m i t luft getrocknet.
