E.g. as long as the aircraft provide 28 VDC with respect to 400 Hz neutral to terminal F. Standard wiring between converter and plug is shown underneath. The six phases are rectified in a 12-pulse semi-conductor full bridge. The rectifier is made up of six thyristor/ diode modules. 3 of each are placed on a DC/AC module and the 3 remaining one are placed on a cooling element below the DC/AC module. The combination of the 12-pulse rectifier, the 12-pulse transformer and the input filter choke means that there is hardly no harmonic feed back into the mains (i.e. no mains pollution/distortion).
