Living room-the main room in a house, where you relax, play, watch television etc.7. Bedroom-a room with a bed in it, where you sleep8. Bathroom-the room in a house where there is a toilet and usually a bathtub or a shower and sink.Lesson Five1. Clock-an instrument in a room or building that shows the time.2. Thermometer-a piece of equipment that measures the temperature of the air, your body etc.3. Sofa-a comfortable seat that is wide enough for two or three people to sit on.4. Stool-a chair without a support for your back5. Broom-a large brush with a long handle, used for sweeping floors6. Dustpan-a flat container with a handle that you use with a brush to remove dust and waste from the floor7. Mop-a thing for washing floors made of a long stick with threads of thick string or a piece of sponge fastened to one end8. Rubbish bin-a container for storing waste materials such as old food, dirty paper, empty bags etc.Lesson Six1. Toothbrush-a small brush for cleaning your teeth2. Toothpaste-a substance used for cleaning your teeth.3. Soap-the substance that you use with water to wash things, especially your body.4. Apple-a hard round red fruit that has red, light green, or yellow skin and is white inside2. Pear-a sweet juicy fruit that has a round wide bottom and becomes thinner on top near the stem3. Banana-a long curved tropical fruit with a yellow skin.4. Grape-a small round green or purple fruit that grows in bunches on a vine and is often used for making wine5. Orange-a round fruit that has a thick orange skin and is divided into parts inside6. Strawberry-a sweet red berry with small pale seeds on its surface7. Lock-a thing that keeps a door, drawer etc. fastened or shut and is usually opened with a key3. Hammer-a tool with a heavy metal part on a straight handle, used for hitting nails into wood4. Bucket-an open container with a handle, used for carrying and holding things, especially liquids5. Scissors-a tool for cutting paper, made of two blades that are joined in the middle and that have handles on one end6. Glass-a container made of glass, without a handle that you use for drinking liquids. 7. Money-what you earn by working and use in order to buy things, usually in the form of coins or pieces of paper with their value printed on them.8. Ladder-a piece of equipment used for climbing up to high places, consisting of two long bars connected with rungs(=steps).Lesson Twelve1.
