ScopeThis Standard sets forth requirements and test methods for rigidity of steel sedan wheel nut seat.This Standard applies to any single-type steel sedan wheel which is centered with nut seat and of which the central portion is raised. 2. Normative ReferenceThe clauses in following documents form an integral part to this standard through the reference. At the moment when this Standard is promulgated, the cited edition of each of such documents is valid. Since all such documents may be revised subsequently, all parties which use this Standard are encouraged to probe into the feasibility of using the latest versions of such documents.ZB T 31030.7-87 Technical Requirements for Automobile Wheel Bolt, Nut and Washer 3. Test Requirement for Rigidity of Nut SeatThe permanent deformation of each nut seat shall be no more than 0.3 mm. 4. Test SpecimenThe test specimen shall be the spoke which has gone through all processing steps other than painting; no more than 1 test is allowed to be carried out on any bolt hole on the spoke, and 3 test specimens shall be prepared. 5. Test Method5.1 Either of the following 2 test methods may be adopted on the basis of the consultation between parties concerned. 5.2 Vertical Loading MethodThe vertical loading method is indicated in Figure 1 hereof.Figure 1Micrometer Gaugea) Set the indicating needle of the micrometer gauge at the position “ZERO” under the original load Fv. b) Apply the test load F for 30 seconds.c) Remove the test load, and then the reading of the micrometer gauge is the permanent deformation of the nut seat.5.3 Tightening Torque MethodThe tightening torque method is indicated in Figure 2 hereof.a) Apply the pre-tightening torque Tv and then set the indicating needle of the micrometer gauge at the position “ZERO.” b) Apply the tightening torque T;c) Remove the tightening torque until the torque applied is zero, and then apply the pre-tightening torque Tv again; the reading of the micrometer gauge at this moment is the permanent deformation of the nut seat. 5.4 Provisions relating to original load, pre-tightening torque, test load and tightening torque are specified in Table 1 hereof.Figure 2 (b)Figure 2 (a)Micrometer GaugeMicrometer GaugeTable 1Bolt UsedM12M14Original Load Fv (N)42004200Pre-tightening Torque Tv (Nm)1012Test Load F (N)5000050000Tightening Torque T (Nm)1001406. Test Conditions6.1 Test Apparatus6.1.1 If the vertical loading method is adopted, a loading mechanism which has load-displaying function and of which the loading error is no more than 5% is necessary. 6.1.2 If the tightening torque method is adopted, torque wrench is necessary. 6.2 The test shall be carried out under the condition that the nut seat is not coated. 6.3 The thread on wheel nut, bolt and backing plate shall be degreased thoroughly.6.4 The bolt and nut used in the test shall be new bolt and nut which meet the provisions as specified in ZB T 31030.7-87 and of which the performance grade is no less than grade 8. 7. Repetition of TestIf any of the following situations occurs, the test shall be repeated.a) The thread on bolt or
